| Lost my sweet Angel I am having the hardest time coping with this. I had to have her put to sleep 2 days ago and cannot bear the pain from losing her. I feel like I have lost my child. She had hydrocephalus and the fluid build up on her brain became too much for her. I have bottle fed her and took care of her from the time she was born(Jan. 3rd). She got sick Monday night and her appetite deminished. Tuesday morning it was the same thing very little appetite. Of course, with her condition she couldnt walk or get around and ended up messing on herself so I went to bathe her and clean her up and she started throwing up. I rushed her immediately to the vet. They did a sonogram of her head to see how bad her condition was and there was very little brain there and the fluid had basically squished what little brain she did have. She had no since of balance which was making her sick. The vet and all the employees recommended me put her to sleep. I didnt want to see her suffer but I just cant bare the loss. Please help! How do I cope and move on from here?? This is a pic of her that was taken on the 11th, the day before she got sick. Here is a pic of the box she was buried in. My daughter colored the angels on top for me. |

| Awwww.. I'm so sorry for your loss. At least your poor baby isn't suffering anymore. As hard as it was you made the right decision. If she could thank you im sure she would. Remember the good times. Hold on to the pictures. That was really sweet of your daughter to put the angels on the box.

| I'm so sorry that you lost your little Angel. It's hard when you loose one. She was blessed to have you take such good care of her. You held her close all of her life, what a gift that was. It doesn't seem to matter if you have them a short time or a long time, it hurts when they're gone. In time it'll be easier, this is the rough time. We're here for you. hugs.

| Oh my God, I am so sorry. What a sweet little angel! My heart goes out to you as I know only to well how hard it is to loose one. I lost my little Raisin over 2 years ago now and I still grieve and find my eyes well with tears, especially when I read something like this. My heart does go out to you, and I am so very sorry for your loss. |

| Angel Thank you all for your posts. I appreciate all of your thoughts and prayers. I just feel like I'm lost. She was only here for 10 weeks but I love her with all my heart. I keep going through so many emotions. I feel like she was so dependant on me and that I let her down. My family depends on me too and I have been no good for anything since that night. I know my husband and my daughter need me but I just cant find the strength to do anything but cry. Everyone tells me I did what is best for her, so why do I feel like I let her down and should have waited and given her more time? I feel guilty. I know I did so much for her but now I wish I would have held her and loved her more. I should have spent more time with her. Even though I did so much with her. As it warmed up here, I would take her on little walks with my 3 other yorkies just to get her outside so she could explore new smells and get some sunlight. Of course, I had to carry her because she couldnt walk. When I fed her as she was older, I was giving her soft canned food mixed with her formula and had to hold her up to eat, then burp her. She was just like an infant. I miss her so much. I just dont know what to do without her. Another pic of her and my daughter when Angel was probably 3 or 4 weeks old. |

| I'm sorry for your loss. It happened to me many many times. I cried every single time, but it's life. My mom always tells me I'll see them again someday. I believe her. You'll see her again one day. |
