| Venting time...and also a rescued dog! So, today, a guy at work asked us office girls if any of us wanted a dog. His wife rescued a dog from next door, and she was a yorkie/maltese mix. She was about a year old, and about 6-8 pounds. I kinda wanted her, but I also have my eye on a puppy already, and I knew that one of the other girls in my office is interested in a dog. So, I tried to talk her into the dog, and then the guy at work said he would bring her by for us to see. Well, when he FINALLY brought her by, as I was dying of anticipation, my friend decided she would take her and I was getting really jealous because she was SO CUTE! I wanted to take her home. I know that she went to a good home, but the story they told us just broke my heart. She basically had to live outside, even in the rain! She would bark and bark, but her owners never let her in, and they would shove her out if she tried to come in. It just made me want to cry. Why do people get these dogs and just leave them to fend for themselves? It is just plain awful! Arg! |

| anybody turn those people in? too many people are getting away with treating dogs this way and need to start getting punished heavily for doing it!

| I get hysterically angry and sad when I hear about neglect cases, etc. I kind of try to avoid them whenever I can because they freak me out so much. I'm SO glad your story had a happy ending!
