| ![]() I am so frustratd, my 1st yorkie was a piece of cake-my new one (5mo's old) is a huge mess. We started her on pee pads because it was snowing for 2 mo's here in colorado-smart idea to get her for xmas right?-ha! -anyways, she is pretty good with the pads. I've been trying to take her outside to go with my other dog b/c as she gets older she is starting to eat the pads and play with them-which isnt good.... well, i take her outside and she just does this constant sniffing pacing around thing-I dont get it, my other dog was pottying within a half hour, this dog will just do her nervous walking sniffing, like she is having fun almost-then as soon as we come in, she goes on the paper in the kitchen-which is good but hey dog, I just spent 30 mins outside with ya! I am so ready to crate train, but she also has this thing where she wont JUST EAT she is like spazz puppy from a toy to drinking to seeing what the other dog is doing (did I mention she is in the kitchen by herself gated off in about a 6 x5 area all this time?). I put food out in the morning and at night when I get home from work, if there is too much going on, she doesnt eat right away-so sometimes, I put her food up 1/2full ![]() any ideas? is there anything I can do to keep her attntion or to refocus her when she gets off track besides telling her potty -i'msure my neighbors are tired of hearing it- ![]() |

| ![]() Yorkies are known for being hard to train. My Skippy who is three years old has just gotten the concept of peeing outside. Then he'll come in the house, and within a half hour he poops in the house. He's a spazz too. ![]() |

| ![]() My Desi is 2 1/2 years old.. I swear to this day I have NEVER seen her do anything outside.. She will play, sniff, wander around but will not pee or pooh outside . The minute she comes in, she goes straight to the wee pad. When we go out and take her she will wait until I take a wee pad out put it on the ground. We could be in the middle of Central Park with nothing but grass all around...but no ! ...I have to put that pad down.

| ![]() I know it seems cruel, but go back to crate training, (I'm not one to talk, because I have three that still have accidents and they are 4 yrs and 2 at 2yrs) but crate training is the way to go. Good Luck ![]()

| ![]() I wonder if you should do away with the pee pads all together. My baby is 1 1/2 and he has not had an accident in the house in over a year and that was only at night when he didn't think he could wake us up. He will not go in the house. He was extremely easy to train and I never used the pads. |
