I am so frustratd, my 1st yorkie was a piece of cake-my new one (5mo's old) is a huge mess. We started her on pee pads because it was snowing for 2 mo's here in colorado-smart idea to get her for xmas right?-ha! -anyways, she is pretty good with the pads. I've been trying to take her outside to go with my other dog b/c as she gets older she is starting to eat the pads and play with them-which isnt good....
well, i take her outside and she just does this constant sniffing pacing around thing-I dont get it, my other dog was pottying within a half hour, this dog will just do her nervous walking sniffing, like she is having fun almost-then as soon as we come in, she goes on the paper in the kitchen-which is good but hey dog, I just spent 30 mins outside with ya! I am so ready to crate train, but she also has this thing where she wont JUST EAT she is like spazz puppy from a toy to drinking to seeing what the other dog is doing (did I mention she is in the kitchen by herself gated off in about a 6 x5 area all this time?). I put food out in the morning and at night when I get home from work, if there is too much going on, she doesnt eat right away-so sometimes, I put her food up 1/2full

mean mommy right?-that is what the vet said to do-what dog dosnt want to eat? I know she has to be hungry after waiting 10 hours!?? so I started putting cottage cheese in her bowl as a supplement-enticement and that gets about the first 1/2 of it eaten. even if she does eat all of her food, she doesnt go poo like other dogs right away, she can hold it for like 2 hours-or so-it doesnt take me that long to get ready in the morning, so i've been gating her an eara in the kitchen so she doesnt have to go in the kennel and get it all over her etc... what do people do? I seriously think she has add-she can't focus, she has a very one-track mind and maybe my other dog was this way when she was a puppy, but i sure dont remember it being this bad. -what do you do with a spazz yorkie who has no clue what going outside to potty means? she isnt even interested in her treats out there, she will sniff and drop it-and then back to sniffing the perimeter..... I even brought the pads out with us. she will just sit and look at me then bck to sniffing around-like she's going to go, but it's a fakeout, she just sniffs forever.
any ideas? is there anything I can do to keep her attntion or to refocus her when she gets off track besides telling her potty -i'msure my neighbors are tired of hearing it-
