| My male loves his belly being brushed, and every thing else... He'll go get his brush, bring it to me, come find me and paw me... Then hop up on my lap and lay on his back. He always falls asleep while I am combing his belly and legs. It's soo cute. But Zoey won't lay there!! She'll let me comb it, but she doesn't LOVE it like Benny does. |

| are you gently brushing? you might try talking in a soothing voice and brushing slowly. mine all love the brush time. there are plenty of kisses and hugs that go with a brushing. we look each other in the face and smile real big. when your starts fighing it stop brushing and just rub the chest and belly. then when she calms down start with the brush slowly. gentle strokes. begin with the ends and work to the skin. I use the cc brush the gold series. it massages rather than scratch the skin. I would never use anything else again. when they were babies I used a cat brush on them so as not to make them afraid of a brush.

| Those areas are very sensitive. make sure you spray them well with grooming spray, before brushing so any tangles come out easily. Never brush them dry. I would suggest using a grooming arm. I attach mine to the counter top. Then I lift up their front legs and brush the belly. they don't object because it doesn't hurt. To do the rump, I just hold my hand under their bell so they stand. the grooming arm keeps them from trying to get away. They also have double nooses for the grooming arms, one for the neck and one for the belly. |

| I let mine stand up in my lap so I can reach their chest and tummy easily and give them kisses at the same time - they love it Oh, and I don't use a brush, I use a little comb.
