Does your puppy get bursts of energy?

Chewie does this too. Mostly at night, but I think it's because all of his people are home and he tries his best to get attention from us all. I take advantage of his running to wear him out for the night. I have noticed that on the nights that he doesn't get the opportunity to run around and play, then he has a hard time sleeping through the night. I agree it's very funny to watch--he's a fast little booger.

My baby does the same thing. She's 10 weeks old, and she gets the sudden splurges of energy! Its cute, because I have a 7 year old Shih Tzu who is rather calm and quiet and he just sits there like... what are you doing pup!!!!

Bichon puppies do this and continue to do it all their lives. It's called the Bichon Blitz and it's great fun. It doesn't seem to happen at any certain time. They go wild, running as fast as they can, around and under all the furniture, on and off everything, including people, ears and tail flying, maybe barking. My two are 8 and almost 10 years old and they do it regularly.
