| So Scared These days I have been having mini panic attacks when I come home thanks to all of these blasted dogknappings. I pull into the driveway and immediately start looking for signs of a break in. I put my key in the door and dread the thought of silence when I open the door. When my babies start barking I feel so relieved. I just don't know how to protect my babies other than staying home 24/7 or taking them everywhere with me, which is impossible. I just can't imagine what would happen if I came home one day and they were gone. The would have to hospitalize me (seriously, I have Bipolar Disorder and Severe Depression). I have even had some nightmares about it lately. What in the world can we do? |

| I know, scary huh? I guess we can't let it consume us, but just be extra cautious about who comes into our home and locking the house tight etc. We happen to have survelience and a home alarm which may add some security. But I'm fortunate enough to be able to be home most every single day with them too.... You can only do what you can do, and I'm sure you are keeping them safe Dont worry mom!

| Yep, me too. I even worry when I'm outside with him on his leash...about the people that are driving by and waving to us! I wonder if maybe they are scoping things out so they can come back later, break in and get him! I hate being paranoid...

| I know I am more scared about theft of My yorkies now too. The other day a guy came up in our yard when Chachi and Jewels were outside and asked My Husband if he knew where he could get a cheap yorkie. My Husand told him we didnt get ours from around here. Now we have been letting them out in the back yard instead of the front

| It is very scary. My son use to take my babies for walks after school and I told him not to do it anymore. God forbid they hurt my son because they want my furkids. Now he has to wait until I get home from work so we can go together. Although most of the time now I close my fence and let them run loose while I'm outside with them. I know my son has told me that ppl ask him where he got them from while taking walks. Very Very scary. |

| Yeah, its so scary I've decided not to put the "in case of fire" stickers on my windows. I know that's awful, but it also lets others know there are yorkies inside. And I refuse to leave them in our RV alone for any length of time. You just can't afford to trust anyone you don't know. Its really sad. |

Peeka Boo I See You! Donating Member | I hear you guys i suffer from panic attacks and have always had a huge fear of someone breaking in my home it is so bad i suffer insomnia really bad and i think this is a big factor we finall got a home alarm system put in and it has made me feel a lot ssfer but with all these yorkie nappings it has kicked my fear up again to. I am so scared to take them out at night here now i have people stop when i'm in my yard to asking me questions about them and asking if i will breed Peeka with their female i always say no but what if they wouldn't take no for an answer and broke in. I only leave a few times a day to take my son to school i used to take Peeka with me everytime but with 2 of them and a 20 month(skin kid) old it's to much to try and control them. Plus when i take them to the school i get mobbed by everyone wanting to see them. I get scared someone will follow me home i even go out of my way past my house if a car has been behind me to long. This is a sick world we now live in! Over Christmad we had several pet store break in's stealing yorkies and even taking them out of the cars! I don't know how to cope right now either because once you have some kind of a issue like Anxiety, Bi polar, OCD,ADD anything it is so hard to get back to normal after these stories. If i could afford it i would have mass amounts of camera's and if i was rich i would have a safe room like in that movie lol

| It is a sad state of affairs it is. I'm not so much worried about them getting my girl in my home (my dachshund girls will fight tooth and nail to save Miss Q.) but I am worried about when I'm out and about. I'm so paranoid now that I don't take her for walks were there is a lot of people and I'm even reluctant to take her out of carrier for people to see her when I go to Petsmart or the Vet. I can't believe this is the world we live in today were not only do we have to worry about our own personal safety but for the safety of our beloved pets. |
