| Please HELP my little Bella has a lump! I did not post this in the sick thread because Bella is not exibiting any signs of sickness at all but I noticed that she has a lump around her belly area. I noticed it a while ago but it was small and I thought it was I dont know....an ovary or something. But now it seems to be larger and it moves according to how I am holding her. Im going to call the vet tomorow and make an appt. but I was wondering if any of you know what this might be??????? Any and all responses will be greatly appreciated.....Its really starting to freak me out!

| I am sorry to hear about this. I hope she is ok. I once had a dog that had a lump on her belly that turned out to be a hernia. She was older though. She had surgery and was fine. I will pray for you and little Bella. I know you must be scared to death.

| Thank you so much for responding doodlebug! I am very scared! This lump is really weird......like........it moves around when you touch it. If you touch it to the left it moves right and vise versa.....kind of what a gland would feel like. I sure hope that it is nothing. She is a VERY active little 5 lb girl....always jumping to really high places that you would think were impossible for her size. Bella is only a little over a yr old too sooooo I just dont know.

| I send prayers your way that it is "nothing!" Our pitbull has had to have lumps removed twice now....they wer benign cysts I think they called them. Nothing serious just more cosmetic I think - with her short coat and all. I will have to double check with my husband about what they were for sure, but thats what I think. So don't panic - it really could be "nothing!" Keep us posted tomorrow!!

| How old is your Bella? Hopefully it's just a fatty tumor. If it moves freely that's what it could be. I'm hoping that's all it is. Prayers for you both tonight. |

| If I remember right, the hernia was soft and squishy when you touched it. I remember the vet told us that it was too small to operate when we first noticed it and he said wait till it is a little bigger. When she had the surgery she came thru with flying colors and recovered really quickly. I am hoping everything works out ok with you and you can get some sleep tonight. Please let us know what you find out at the vet.

Donating YT 30K Club Member | Hoping it's nothing but a little cyst. I'm sure the vet will be able to ease your worry tomorrow.

| Back from Vet Hey all I wanted to update you on Bella's vet visit. She has a umbilical hernia and is going in for surgery on Thurs. morning. My poor little Bella button! They assured me though that it is a simple surgery and she will be home with me on the same day. (thank God) I could not bear a night without her! Im gonna have a heck of a time keeping her still for a couple of days though! She is always running and jumping up high on things! She is an amazing little girl! Any suggestions on how to keep her still would be greatly appreciated. I'll probobly just have to be lazy and lay in bed with her cuz she does love that. And thanks so much to everyone who responded. Most of you were right with your diagnosis! Such smart people here! I love you all!
