| Can someone answer this? I've been looking around the site at your pups and i've seen that there is a Biewer yorkie. I've seen these kind of yorkie but i thought it was a mix I'm not sure who's pups it was but i seen 4 black and white pups and one brown and gold one. is it likey that a biewer yorkie would have brown and gold pups? or would the father or mother have to be a gold and brown? How long have they been around or have i been under a rock? |

| The National Club for the Yorkshire Terrier is the Yorkshire Terrier Club of America. This is their statement about colour of the Yorkie on their website. http://www.ytca.org/faq.html#B |

| The Biewer Yorkshire Terrier is a breed that was developed in Germany. It is not a mixed breed dog. The first Biewer was the result of two traditional Yorkies who carried a recessive piebald gene. They've been around for about 22 years -- and have recently started coming over to the US. The standard for the Biewer is a tri-colored head -- blue, gold and white. Four legs, chest and tummy white, along with the tip of the tail being white. They do not dock the tails! The back is a combination of blue and white. There are several Breed clubs and you can also google Biewer to find out more information. If you are interested in getting a Biewer -- I would suggest that you do a whole bunch of research -- and don't just expect one breeder to be the expert! There's a lot of mis-information going around about these beautiful little dogs, and many people have gotten into the breed just to make money -- not caring about keeping up the breed standard. You can also check out Snow Yorkie's (yt member) website at www.magnoliasmagnificentyorkshires.com -- she's got some great dogs!!! That's where I got mine from! Here's a pic of my Lola at 7 months old -- and her mama when she was 7 months old! Last edited by Toby'sMama; 03-03-2007 at 10:25 PM. Reason: forgot picture |

Donating YT 2000 Club Member | I just saw your question. Biewers throw biewer puppies. Biewers mated with Splitters (1/2 Biewer, 1/2 Traditional Yorkie) can have one or the other (biewer or yorkie) or both in the same litter. Does this answer your question? I don't know anything about the Chocolates. Again, it may be bred for a recessive gene. |

Donating YT 2000 Club Member | Half the fun is doing the research, going to shows where Biewers are shown (IABCA) and talking to the breeders and clients of the breeder--people who bought puppys from this breeder. If you can, go and see the Biewers and the chocolates. This is a good way to see what they are all about. |
