| My 'former' yorkie, Oscar, would get a "bad haircut" anytime I got really hot or had a bad case of PMS!!!!! I could not stand looking at him with all that hair when it was sooooooo hot and sooooo HUMID!!!!! He loved it......made bath-time a breeze! |

| I have Duke's hair clipped short as well. He loves it because he stays cooler, and bath time is a breeze! If it is going to be chilly at night, I will put a sweater or sweatshirt on him, and he is a happy camper.

| Hey Ilovetoridequads and mycuteteddybear... I live in Bakersfield too! What a small world! anyway, YES! Shave them. You can always put clothes on them to keep them warm... but there's not a lot you can do about keeping them cool. I vote short... plus, personally, i think it's cuter!

| I just bought my first yorkie 2 weeks ago. He is 3 months old and absolutely precious. He is so so sweet. But a friend saw my baby and said. "Thats not a yorkie" because his ears are flopped over and not standing straight up. Can anyone tell me what he was talking about.? |

| Hi Ggilbert: According to the yorkie breed standard as printed by the American Kennel Association, an adult yorkie's ear are supposed to stand up, but some yorkies ears never stand up. They are still yorkies! It doesn't matter a bit unless you plan to show your dog in conformation shows. If the dog is young, his ears may still stand up eventually. Welcome to Yorkie Talk! |

| Does anyone know (Pat "YorkieRose" former groomer) whether it is true that the hair will not grow back of the same quality if they are cut down short as was posted earlier? |

| I plan on letting their coats grow out til they look like show dogs, get some good pics and then cut them back. I don't mind brushing them but sometimes it seems as if it is very wearing on them. In fact from the first time I saw a Yorkie I dreamed of brushing that long, beautiful flowing hair. Sylvia |

| Ozzy turned a year old on April 9, 2005. He weights 6lbs. What about your puppy? I havent been able to post a picture of him because it says that the image is too big, and i dont know how to make it smaller. |

| MyCuteTeddybear Toby is 3 1/2 months. He doesnt have anyone that wants to play with him either. Everyone is too rough with him. We should all get together one weekend. go to the park or something. I would love to meet someone else from here. I need to post a picture of my little boy because he looks a lot different then he used to. Now that hes shaved. But hes still cute. |
