Yorkie Questions Hello I was wondering if it was possible for a 5 lb mommy Yorkie and a 4 lb Dad Yorkie to have a very tiny baby... I am considering buying a puppy that breeder says should mature to be around 2 lbs. She is 1 lb at 11 weeks and he says she's very healthy.. Also, the puppy is black and tan... Does that mean no silverish or white colors throughout her coat? or very minimal? Thanks, Araceli

Wow, that's tiny. My girl was 1.3 pounds at 12 weeks. She is now 2 lb 2oz at 19.5 weeks. From what I gather of the information here; most people say you never really can tell exactly how big they are going to get. All Yorkies are black and tan when they are very young. Most break coat and some do not (from the info I've gathered here).

My baby was 2 lbs at 11 weeks, and now 2.8 lbs at 22 weeks. At 11 weeks her coat black and tan too, then it started growing in dark bluish and gold on her head. Part her hair on her back and see if it is growing in a different color. I am new at yorkies so I don't know alot about the weight issue but from what I have read it is really impossible to tell how big they will be according to the weight of their parents. There is a chart that you can look at, Just do a search of yorkie weights and you should find it.
