They showed Ellen & her new pup on the Barbara Walters Pre-Oscar Special last night. She also has two other dogs at home. I know that she's a huge animal lover...hence her very funny American Express commercials. I can't imagine her intentionally saying anything negative about a dog, designer or purebred or otherwise.

I agree...I'm glad to hear that people who watched the show are saying that those words were never said by her...I think Ellen rocks, and she's always given off the impression of loving animals

For the record: I wasn't trying to draw any negative attention to Ellen. I got the "designer dog" statement from a poster, or I thought a poster on that site said that. I was annoyed by the posters acting like Ellen and all the owners of "designer dogs" were bad. I like Ellen. Maybe I should read that whole post, I got turned off by the first few and didn't read the rest.

The rest of the post only goes downhill!! I didn't think you were saying anything negative at all about Ellen.

I was just shocked & amazed at the posts on the PetFinder forum. I was also curious in their lengthy rants on that forum that in this day & age of instant video on the web, there is no YouTube link to this particular episode. It aired on January 31st. Geeze, Clay Aiken covers Kelly Ripa's mouth with his hand & it's all over the internet in 10 seconds.

And by the way, Ellen's new puppy is absolutely adorable! Morkie, Yorkie, Schmorkie...the furbaby is cute & has a great animal-friendly home.

Ok cool lol. i thought people were starting to think that by posting the link I was talking about Ellen.

I wish I had seen the little Morkie.

Oh no, I didn't think you were trying to say bad stuff about her or mixed breed dogs either!! I knew that you were referring to the posts on the other website.

Yes, I saw that one. She said it was a Morkie.

Named 'Mouse' It was a very cute dog...and yeah, looked like more Yorkie than anything else.
