| When I only had Trini 4.2 lbs. & Coco 3.0 lbs. I thought they were absolutely tiny. I went to their breeder, who has her own pet Yorkie 2lb 8oz. very compact Yorkie(to inquire about purchasing another female, Gracie). I walked out of there felling my two are huge!!! <<<totally not!! I got home and didn't see my duo as small for at least a month!!! I know they are small because they their weight and they are smaller than any other dog I've seen walking in my area and they get a lot of attention when we do go out. I finally got over it! Now, I don't ever want to go back there and see that tiny cutie. She jaded my perspective... Everything is relative!

Donating YT 11K Club Member | Teddy seems a little big now because he is always next to London who is tiny but really compared to other dogs he's not big at all. London is very small to me next to other dogs. When we went to a sall dog meet up she was the smallest dog there! Everyone's eyes popped out when they saw her lol but to me she's just small for a small breed but not THAT small because I know there are other one's that are smaller than er prob. full grown. Teddy is 7 or 8 lbs I'm not sure, London is about 1.8 lbs. Last edited by mizzwanned; 02-21-2007 at 09:50 AM. |

| Topher, even though he's a real 'solid' 13+lbs now, he still seems small to me...he's really just a little guy. BUT, when he's next to Sophie, he seems so darned big. Sophie is really delicate...tiny little features, tiny little feet. When I watch them play rough it amazes me how she can hold her ground against him! lol She sure does put him in his place! |

| zoe is 4.5 lbs, long and skinny. She is perfect in our eyes in terms of size but when we take her to our local yorkie meet, she is one of the biggest ones! Most are 3lb dogs. I love her just the way she is though. |

| I always think Dougal is a whopper puppy cos he's 13.5 lbs. in comparison to wee Wee who is 6.5lbs. Then we go to the dog park and he's chasing all the border collies thinking he's all that and then I realise he's just a wee fella himself - even if in his head he's a German Shepherd.

| A 12 lb. dog IS a small dog! It may not be within the yorkie standard, but it's a SMALL DOG! That's what's so absolutely nuts about people looking at a five or six lb. yorkie and thinking they are "too big"! Crazy!

| I think I got used to Rocky's small size (6lbs) so to me he seems normal, but sometimes when I'm carrying him around, or he's in his carseat, or I see him trying to climb on my end tables or coffee table from the couch I realize how small he really is.

| Pepper seems like a 'big dog' sometimes, when he's all stretched out trying to look out the window, other times, especially outside, looks like a tiny mouse, it's easy to lose the right perceptions when not having other dogs to compare with

| My boy, Easty is short legged and stout weighing in at 10.5-11 lbs. He's solid muscle. My girl, Brockty is long-legged with tiny bone structure and about 9.5 lbs. She stands a good 2" taller than Easty. When I see other peoples Yorkies (the little delicate 3 pounders) mine seem so big to me. |
