| I echo the other comments. We almost didn't take Fabian home from the breeder because he was projected to weigh only 3-4 pounds and we didn't want too fragile a dog. We decided to love him no matter what size he ended up being. At three YO, he's now 10.5 pounds in the summer when we take him hiking all the time and 12 lbs. the winter because he doesn't get as much exercise in the cold NH winters. Really, the only way to know your dog's size for sure is to get them at 2-3 years old. But consider all the great puppy memories you'd miss if you did that. |

| The parents aren’t the only determining factor in size even a bigger yorkie in the lines several generations can matter. Yorkies were bigger then they are now so throw backs happen. At 5 months and 6 pounds Ollie outweighed his parents and his siblings. No one wanted him because of that.

| You've got the whole 17 lbs of yorkie love )) it's kind of funny how the only thing the breeder didn't lie to us about was Mike's weight. When he came home he was only 360 gram and I cried so much because I thought we will grow up to be very little. Now a year and a half later I've a happy dog mama of 9.5 lbs Mike!!! |
