| The reason I feel they are "born blue" is the shortness of the gold on the legs even though they are newborn..a chocolate has normal gold as a rule...but it will be intersting to see them as they get older... |

| I have more pictures of the silver born puppy. He is doing good but small. Seems healthy except I do see some dandriff in the fur. He does have the brown markings like the normal. He is turning more "chocolate" in color. another bad subject! I have not been on line in the last week because my other female had puppies. It was a disaster. I spent one entire night at the emergency vet and the entire next day in the vets office. She had 2 live babies and 2 dead ones. Then over the next days she became sick and the others 2 died. I was up around the clock trying to help them and pump her milk. Also more trips to the vet. This mother was quite small (4.0 pounds) father 3.2 pounds. The babies were born 2.5 oz. She was under vet care the entire time. I feel so bad and don't know what I could have done different. I think her milk came in too heavy and it was the start of mastitis. (from the vets opinion). Very sad and want to learn. I might not breed her again. She is doing better but is very upset unless she is in my lap. |

| I'm sorry you had problems with your other female... I hope she and her little ones will fell better. As for the 'silver' puppy, I think there is a member here that has a blue born al grown up. But I read on the topic and sometimes the chocolate Yprkies look bluish when born but then get that rich brown hue all over. There are a few who have Chocolate Yorkies here, those are really pretty dogs.

| I have just been breeding for a little over a year. I had no problems the first few times and now this. Chelsey was a first time mom. The others were second time. All three females are about just under 3 years old. |
