| Couple of eating and drinking questions... Cali doesn't seem to like to eat much twice a day. She is just about 18 weeks. If she eats a nice size breakfast, then dinner is not much more than a few bites. And vice versa. When is it that they only eat once a day? Her bigger meal in the day is about 3 tablespoons of Royal Canin dog food with about a teaspoon of Cesar's wet mixed in it. Also, is 6:00pm too early to take up her water? I am really trying to get her on a schedule of her pooping and peeing times. Thanks.

| This Is How We Do Things - Hope It Helps You..... Harvey Is 11 Months And 3.5 Lb. He Has A Gravy Bone In A Morning At 10 Am Ish - He Will Not Eat Food At This Time At All. Then In Afternoon He Will Get A Doggy Sausage At 3 Ish. He Is Usually Ready For His Din Dins At About 6 Pm - He Eats Ceaser Refined Wet Food, Warmed Up With A Little Small Bite Puppy Mixer. He Has 2 Table Spoons Of Food. If He Is Still Hungry Later He Eats Some More Of The Same Food - But About Half The Quantity. I Leave Semi-dried Morsels Food Down All The While (he Only Picks Now And Again), And Also Water - But When He Is In His Crate He Cant Get Water. He Goes To Bed At About 1-2 Am And I Let Him Out For Wee Wees Etc At About 8 Am. He Then Goes Back To Bed Until About 10 Am - When My Husband Gets Up. He Sleeps In The Kitchen In His Crate. (harvey - Not My Husband !!!!!! Ha Ha), He Sleeps Away Most Of The Day And Seems To Come To Life At Night Time. We Let Him Out Every 3-4 Hours Through The Day For Wee Wee, And He Poops In A Morning And Evening. Good Luck With Your Baby - I Know How You Are Feeling - They Are Such A Worry Over Food.

My mum's Ellie has foil packs of meat and it takes about 2 days to eat one! She's perfect weight too and isn't skinny. Gypsy is 4months and Ellie is 8months. I think each dog varies with food and how much and when... plus I'm sure Yorkie's are the pickiest eaters there are!!!! Both me and my Mum had trouble with them they were younger trying to find food that they liked and would eat. Gypsy would love something one minute but give it her later and she wouldn't touch it! Maybe you could try changing your food, see if you can find something that really excites him... To get Gypsy to eat two meals a day I gave her warm rice pudding for breakfast and meat for dinner with biscuits down all day. Don't know about water, Gypsy has access to water all the time.

| It is interesting on feeding schedules. We all get up at 6am, so I have some cooked carrots & apples ready right away. That take care on their tummies being empty all night. If they eat a little something right away, it helps to avoid vomiting. Caused from the acid building up. Lunch time varries between 11 & 1. I figure that is 5 to 7 hours from last fed. I do leave kibbles out all day for them to snack. Dinner is at 6pm. Could be chicken & rice Or whatever. We have a water fountain that is plugged in all the time for them to drink. Although mine go on potty papers, they can go when they have the need. My girls go down the stairs at night off the bed if they have to. Max will bark to let me know if he has to go pee in the night. He has been sleeping through the night when he is done eating & drinking by 7pm. We go to bed usually by 9 or 10. So 6 shouldn't be to early. If she is thirsty she'll let you know. Mine do by licking our arms. Then I give them a drink out of the hamster bottle, to subside them.
