| Update on Cubbie Cubbie didn't make it back home as injury-free as we thought. Evidentlly he was hit by a car while he was out. His (I believe) right eye looks pretty bad and he has a cold. He can see out of the eye but the vet is pretty worried. Its very swollen now. He is on steroids and antibiotics. The vet said that he probably wouldn't have made it another night given his condition. As of yesterday, he still wasn't strong enough to jump up on the bed, (sosmething that was common for him.) It sounds like he could loose the eye, but he is being referred to an opthalmologist if he doesn't show any improvement. He isn't in any pain. He did loose 25% of his body weight and he was really dehydrated but still, he was in remarkable shape for having gone through 6 nights of horrible weather. |

| Poor Baby Cubbie Praying for a complete recovery for him. I hope that he doesn't lose his eye but if he does, he will do fine and thankfully, he is back at home where he belongs. Hugs for both of you. |

| Glad he's home and safe! We have some experience with an eye thing. Our poodle lost his sight in one eye after an incident with a German Shepherd. He got a false eye and bounced back good as new afterwards. Hoping for better results for you but it's remarkable how resilient these babies truly are! Good luck!

| Poor Cubbie. He's one tough little cookie. If he made it through all of your cold weather for 6 nights, he's a little fighter. He won't give up. And being back home with his family has got to make a huge difference in his recovery. Please keep us updated. |

| Well I hope Cubby has a speedy and complete recovery! I am glad he is home though! Is the problem with the eye due to the car?
