 Update on Cubbie
Cubbie didn't make it back home as injury-free as we thought.
Evidentlly he was hit by a car while he was out. His (I believe) right eye looks pretty bad and he has a cold. He can see out of the eye but the vet is pretty worried. Its very swollen now. He is on steroids and antibiotics. The vet said that he probably wouldn't have made it another night given his condition. As of yesterday, he still wasn't strong enough to jump up on the bed, (sosmething that was common for him.) It sounds like he could loose the eye, but he is being referred to an opthalmologist if he doesn't show any improvement. He isn't in any pain. He did loose 25% of his body weight and he was really dehydrated but still, he was in remarkable shape for having gone through 6 nights of horrible weather. |
