| ![]() I had taken my yorkie boy Dexter to the Vet Saturday afternoon (in Petsmart) and another lady was there with her yorkie male. The first and ONLY question she asked me was how much he weighed. I told her 4 lbs. and was a little taken aback as to why she would want to know! He's a little less than that, but I don't think that his weight matters all that much. In fact, my little girl Lily is 10 lbs! She's my little 'chunky monkey.' ![]() Totally different weights yet both yorkies... ![]() |

| ![]() That's just sad. I don't know why people are so obsessed with the weight of dogs these days! Like having a smaller dog makes you better than someone else ![]() I'm always worried about my little girl because she doesn't seem to gain weight. Not happy or feel like I have some sort of "better dog" because she is small. I wish she weighed more and free feed her 24/7. I've never had a dog as small as Jewelina before, even Jaden was bigger than her at 16 weeks so I'm always looking for tips or info/help to make sure they gain enough weight! I even keep in touch with her breeder to see if the others in her litter are around/close to her same weight, just because she seems so very small to me. I wish she'd gain weight, not stay super small! I just don't know what got people into this sort of mind set...I mean, it seems like people are starting to treat dogs like cell phones...hm...I wonder how much smaller they can get so I can fit it in my pocket! ![]() |

| ![]() When inquiring from a breeder what the potiential size of her new puppies would be, she told me and then said if I didn't feed them too much, they would stay smaller. Needless to say, I turned and ran. I want a healthy dog rather than a small one. With the big feet in my house, the bigger the dogs the better.

| ![]() I guess I should be a little reluctant to take my big 'ol 15 lb teapot in a pet store because I am not so sure I could be as nice as you were if someone said anything bad about me dog to my face! It would be like telling some stranger their kid is ugly or over weight for that matter! |
