Pet Store worker we went to pet supplies plus yesterday (only pet store that was open) a lady who worked there came up to me and asked if Lillie was a teacup? I said No, she is just tiny (3lbs) the lady said, ohh I have a teacup and she is much smaller then your's! I wanted to say, yeah, and your point is? I also wanted to say, there is no such yorkie as a teacup, but I just smiled and went on my way! Did this lady think she was better then me cause she has a "smaller" dog then I do? I just don't understand why people have to be like this. |
It always amazes me what people feel they have the right to say to strangers. # lbs is pretty darn tiny!! |

And she 'works' at the pet store?!? You're a bigger person than I am, I would've been tempted to 'educate' her:D |
dont know why, but no one ever appoached me and ever said anything about lexi.. i guess here in ny they would get killed... |
When i walk Rocky i always get people say is he a teacup meanwhile hes a healthy 7lbs and i say no he's not first of all. You know they are not educated if they think a 7lb dog is a teacup and second of all wouldnt the first thing you ask is is it a boy or a girl not is it a teacup dorks i swear  |
Next time any of y'all are asked if you have a teacup just say no, it's a yorkie.:D |

I have no idea why people need to be that way. It's the same as someone coming up to you and saying well it looks like you put on some weight there. I could never understand the thrill it gets them. I have a new female that is roughly five months and she weighs two pounds. A person that I know is forever ask how big she is so she can compare the weight of her female. It's like man you have nothing else to do. Her female weighs probably an ounce or two less than my Lulu and it seems to give her such a thrill. That must be the only thing that that they have going in their life. LOL....no one here in NY has ever done that to me either. This person is from outside of NY. All I am concerned with is having two healthy dogs. When people look at Lex they ask is he a pure Yorkie. My big boy is 9 1/2 lbs of love. He doens't even look that large if you ask me. He is average and seems to have large bones or so the vet tells me. |
Three pounds is tiny. I cant imagine what she would say about my 6 and 10 lb monsters |

I think they buy their 'teacups' as an accessory...........these are the same idiots who place them at the local animal shelter because all of a sudden they had a baby, they will be moving? They became allergic? (I volunteer at the local animal shelter and have heard every sorry excuse under the sun)...... Also, I am willing to bet that if celebrities all of a sudden came out hauling a great dane in a wheeled tote.............society would imitate and do the same :D |
pfft i get asked if mika is a teacup all the time. ...she weighs 9lbs lmao:D |
or lexi in which she is 9 lbs.... anyone ever says to me, shes a big yorkie, my answer would be ,yes shes fat like you... |

On the contrary, I have heard people get asked if their's is a teacup and they say yes.............looking at their 15 lber makes you wonder :D (but remember, these people usually buy from unreputable places/petstores that sold them as \'teacups\'.........so they believe it  |
