Let me know how the Silky Show Shampoo and the Silkening Serum works out for ya ok?? We are always willing to try new products, as long as they don't smell like bug spray, lol!

I made a mistake, Espree is sending us the High Sheen Finishing Spray and also Color Enhancing Shampoo along with the Silky Show shampoo. Not sure where I got "silkening serum". Not even sure if they make such a thing. Anyway, I will definitely let you know how we like it and if smells like bug spray or not. Tammy

so just because you have a cotton coat or a modified silk coat I wouldn't say not to try MinkSheen because it might work awesome for you and just because your dog has a true silk coat doesn't neccasarily mean it will work great for them. Each dog is different and you have to find what works best for you

If you get great results, we may just have to give it a try! ) but if you find that the Espree products are great then let me know and we'll try those too! And yes...PLEASE let me know how the smell is as well - my husband will kill me if I give Stedman another "bug spray" bath LOL!

| I have CC (Shampoo and Conditioner) - I really like how it smells, and it seems to leave Roxy and TJ's coat soft. I have used about 1/2 of the bottle of Ice on Ice (b/c I'm lazy and I have to be careful where I spray it, b/c it makes hardwood floors ICE - so becareful). I have a full little bottle of Plush Puppy Sea Breeze - I do not like the smell and it made TJ so greesy. If anyone wants it, please PM me, you can just pay shipping I have the Furbutter, I used it only once on TJ (he has crazy cotton curly and kinky hair) It didn't do what I had hoped - BUT I will try it again before I say No Good for us. I have the Eqyss Micro-Tek Shampoo and Spray. These definatley smell like bug spray - yuk!!! I don't think they are doing any good for Roxy. She is still itching and has very dry skin, so I am not using this product on her anymore. I use Cowboy Magic - I use a decent amount on them while they are in the tub, still drenched in water, I rub it all around with my hands and then I towel dry them, brush them and blow dry them. I don't care for the smell, but it does seem to control both of their hair - as long as I don't put too much in! Then I use my own products. I don't recall brand names, but I have some stuff that's cream like for control and for straightening. As long as I put a little on them it controls the friz and fluff. I am still looking for the altimate though. They both seem to have dry flaky skin right now, I think from the winter months Last edited by TLC; 04-09-2007 at 12:01 PM. |

| I just sent Kathryn a PM asking if the Cranberry Fields line has a detangler/conditioning spray because I'm using Pet Silk right now and am about to try the CF. Is the Sea Breeze oil used after the bath on wet hair before combing?? I don't know if CF has a spray for that and since you've used two bottles already, it must be good (at least for your pups)!

A Good finishing spray is Crown Royal.....Kathryn_V sent me a sample and I really like that one on Cheri who is silky....and I use the Ice on Ice for her too but she hardly needs any products as her coat is really silky to begin with. I like the Cranberry Fields shampoo and conditioner alot too - but again - only on Cheri TLC - thank you SOOOOO much !!! you made my day with your generous offer...I added water to mine to stretch it out and it doesn't work nearly as well as full strength

| I've heard that after being outside in the hot sun, if their coat is cool to the touch, that signifies a true silk coat. If it's hot, then supposedly it's a "modified silk" instead. I always thought Tatum's was silk because she very rarely gets a tangle and I don't even brush her but maybe every three days sometimes. The reason I wonder is because statistically the Mink Sheen has worked best on silk coats but it worked horribly for Tatum. That got me wondering. We'll see.....

| Oh ok. From what I recall both TJ and Roxy's hair get hot as hell! Roxy I believe has a soft coat, lots of it, and straight (not straight as a arrow, but straight) TJ has CARZY hair! It is soooooooooo soft, lots of it, fluffy like, curly like and KINKY - friz like (his tail and on his back) I just ordered some of the Shampoo from Espree: Aloe Oatbath Medicated Shampoo I hope this will help with their dry, flaky and itchy skin |
