| Hey, I just got a new puppy as well and for the first two weeks or so it was no stop, Madison is a spitfire as well..haha! Now it has been a month and they get along much better, however Sebastian still looks like he wants to run away at times as well. She still annoys him and he will have a go at her, even at times for no reason, but you can tell they still love each other. Time out from each other is also a really good way of teaching them to get along, it worked for me. If she was playing to aggressively or if Sebastian was i would put them in time out separately for a minute or two until they had calmed down and then put them back together. If this didn't work i would put Madison in her own area for half an hour and then give them a bit of supervised play time. It is hard work, but you will eventually get there, don't give up she is such a cutie and they will grow to love each other. Hope this helps you feel a bit better

The girls would look at me like PLEASE SAVE US MOM!! Now they are all the best of friends even though Reece is STILL a spitfire..now the girls just look at him and shake their furry heads lol...it WILL get better!! Dawn |

It will get better as soon as she learns where her place is in the "pack". In the meantime, keep on posting pictures of that ADORABLE face! She looks so innocent (in a devilish sort of way). | |

| I love her I will take her. I have been looking for a female. I love the spit fire attitude, but when it comes to training you wished you didn't have spitfire. But like everyone says give it time and let her know who is boss. Good luck and let us know before you put her on" Ebay". HAHA!!!! |

| I know the frustration you are going through. I have two male Yorkies 1 year old and at first this went on all the time. They need constant supervision when that small and a lot of patience. I posted my frustration with agression and received a lot of tips from various people. I have tried some and believe me it is working. We still have the tiffs but I had to let them know who was boss..... and didn't realize that is where I was failing. I was ready to sell one of mine, but things are working out great now and all I have left to work on is the one that pulls his hair out of his paw when he doesn't have anything to do...... That is getting better tooo...... Don't put your doggie on ebay just yet. Give it time. Maybe I need your puppy to keep my two straight, sounds like she is my answer ........... Hang in there. |

| LOL, I know how you feel. Sometimes I just want to lock myself in my bedroom and let Ferdinand have the run of the house just so I can get some peace. He'd probably just stand at the door and bark for hours. We haven't been able to break the barking yet... it's extremely frustrating!!

| I would say you might check into your local petsmart or other training classes -it sounds like the dog is definately dominant and needs someone to take charge. I have a new baby -who is 4 mo's and terrorizes my 2 year old yorkie (she has scabs on her head when you pet her b/c of the baby's teeth). Some good training to show her appropriate/acceptable behavior and also reinforce who is in charge-would be good for the little volcano. I have to feed mine separately, which was hard b/c my two year old munches all day-and food was left out-but initially, they had to learn who's bowl is who's so i could see how much the baby was eating-and try and get her on a potty schedule. You might look into bully sticks instead of stuffed animals. mine devour those into peices in minutes-also the kongs are good, they have these little sticks you can put into them and they will be busy for hours. Having a puppy is HARD work-it seems like the first one is easy, then the 2nd one is a hellian.... for me anyways. Our weekely puppy training class has been a god-sent. It helps get energy out and also the instructors are on-hand to interact and show apporpriate behavior and how to use positive reinforcement to get the behaviors you want. good luck! keep us posted. I know it's rough-but it gets better with time , patience and understanding. (they feed off of your energy) |

| I have been reading articles on the PETA WS, that are forwarded to me by my sister, don't get me wrong I am not a huge Vegan or anything, I do eat meat, but I do not agree w/ alot of the tactics used by places that care for and sell animals...They recently had an undercover video of a worker at Petsmart and behind the doors is something else...I signed a boycott of Petsmart until they stop selling animals...Just read and watch videos on their sight, it gives you a whole new prospective on things...I find it hard to take any sort of training from them when the animals are treated so poorly by them...JMO............ |

| oh, wow didnt know, ours only sells birds and fish here in CO and our local cat and dog shelters bring in homeless dogs for adoption on the weekends, which is good. they really seem to try here and i've had TREMENDOUS success with their training. With our new puppy we take classes thru our local shelter, b/c they are closer. any training for a puppy is WAY better than no training (it's more training for you too). the point was get training for that little volcano pup! |
