| Does your Yorkie let you eat in peace? Betty knows whenever ANYONE is eating ANYTHING! I have to chew like a ventriloquist...no moving my lips or she is there in 2 seconds! Then she whimpers like she hasn't eaten in weeks. |

| Yes, Tatum does just fine in that area. Don't know why she doesn't beg but she doesn't. Maybe she knows she won't like my cooking?? But seriously, sometimes she'll sit at the floor by my chair and do a little whine but that only means that she wants to sit on my lap and it's usually after we're finished eating and are just sitting around. She doesn't try to get to anything on the table. But there was a time that it was a little different. We were having a little birthday thing a couple years ago and my dad put a little cherry pie filling on the tip of his finger and let her taste it. You know, she begged from him every time he was around after that! I fussed at him and he started ignoring her behavior and she finally stopped. But she's never done it to any of us. And yes, I agree that's unusual! I guess it's because we've never given her anything but dog food - no table food at all..... not even chicken and rice or other snacks that some people feed their dogs. I learned a hard lesson on that subject with our poodle and swore I wouldn't even get that bad habit started with Tatum.

| Mine are just about as bad. I just ignore them. Then they move over to my husband. I tell him to just ignore them and not give in to them. Of course most of the time he gives in to them.

| Yes my two are very bad about that, But Its our faults, They know we will give them little bites of this and that, I some times find my self eating faster then normal , Just because they are watching me. They will set at my feet while I eat and once my plates empty they will run over to their Daddy to see if hes still eating. |

| no way does the frankster let me eat in peace, i have my twins on a little tykes table and i sit at mytable since i have this huge tall mission table i put them down there well frankie knows that and he will get in their chair thats empty and get on top of their littel table and then get food and jump off and run and eat it before i can even get out of my chair and run towards him. he is a stinker, i have to literally put him in another room and eat with my family and then let him out, and even then he sniffs for an hour after wards. even my cat does it, he is sooo spoiled though cause he eats things that the frankster cant eat, but either way they dont let you eat in peace.

Senior Yorkie Talker | OMGGGGGGGGGGGGG! Zoey does the same exact thing and I CAN NOT get her to STOP! It's driving me mad! It all started when I gave her a Cheerio as a treat for being well behaved. Every since then , she has been a feen for food. The minute I ruffle a chip bag or even step foot in the kitchen , she's right there waiting. It gets so annoying and I have no idea how to make it stop! Sometimes I have to put her in my room and close the door while I eat and I shouldn't have to do this. I hope someone responds to this post that has a solution.

| I'm thinking this behavior can't be stopped! We do not give Crosley or Wrigley any people food, unless we are mixing in fruit, vegetables or cottage cheese with their food, but it doesn't stop them from begging and running back and forth to everyone who is eating! Wrigley will almost try and take food right off your plate and chances are she has a bowl food of her own food available to eat! |

| We dont have a problem with this both wont bother when we are eating ....but it wasn't allways so,we had to do some very hard ignoring and never feeding them when we ate! It was difficult but payed off! However when we visit my mum! They both go and sit and look at my dad...he says he NEVER feeds them but I dont think so....they never look at anyone else, but he does spoil them rotten, and I know he tries to feed them what he's eating when I'm not looking!

Oh my goodness! This just got me to thinking about something else. Zoey has actually sat in front of me and when I wasn't looking , she has grabbed the food OUT OF MY HAND and ran! I scolded her really bad and she had never done it again but that was a bit over the top!

| No beggars here. We learned our lesson with Starr, if she so much as heard the tiniest crinkle of a package, or heard anyone chewing, she was THERE She'd jump 3 feet up and bark really sharply, OMG It was annoying, but cute at the same time We give these girls nothing while we are eating. If they get a tidbit, it's given to them after we're done, and they have to sit for each bite. NILIF
