Yes, Tatum does just fine in that area. Don't know why she doesn't beg but she doesn't. Maybe she knows she won't like my cooking??
But seriously, sometimes she'll sit at the floor by my chair and do a little whine but that only means that she wants to sit on my lap and it's usually after we're finished eating and are just sitting around. She doesn't try to get to anything on the table.
But there was a time that it was a little different. We were having a little birthday thing a couple years ago and my dad put a little cherry pie filling on the tip of his finger and let her taste it. You know, she begged from him every time he was around after that! I fussed at him and he started ignoring her behavior and she finally stopped. But she's never done it to any of us. And yes, I agree that's unusual! I guess it's because we've never given her anything but dog food - no table food at all..... not even chicken and rice or other snacks that some people feed their dogs. I learned a hard lesson on that subject with our poodle and swore I wouldn't even get that bad habit started with Tatum.
