| Donating YT 2000 Club Member | I really don't think I have a limit. I don't have a leash law where I live so surely they don't have a limit.

| BeBeYorkie...just make sure the two outside dogs have proper shelter, food, water, rabies tags, not a barking nuisance, no running lose outside the yard and AC will have no grounds for anything. |

| I wish that the animal limits were on a case by case basis instead of just a general law. Also, I don't understand why there are no limits on cats.. just dogs. |

| Yeah I agree yorkiegirl83 - I totally understand when there is negligence they should do something but not with people like us who just love our babies sooo much. I never meant to have 4 doggies. My sheepdog is a mix who I rescued she was very thin and sick. She was roaming streets when I found her. The chihuaha was dying her mama wouldn't nurse her she was the runt. I agreed to help out and try to bring her back. A few months later after many sleepless hrs (I fed her little bit at a time round the clock). She had gained some weight, we fell in love with her and ofcourse we kept her. My first yorkie was the girl - BeBe she was a 22nd wedding anniversary gift from my hubby... A yr ago. We totally fell in love with her and a week later we bought the boy Toby. That's my story on how I ended up with 4 dogs. I wouldn't see ourselves without any of them we love love love them. lol lol lol

| I live in Brooklyn, NY and I doubt if there's a limit. Shhhh! I never registered MAX either. I just assume that NYC polce have more important things to do than to knock on my door or stop me in the street. I may do it though, just because it's better to have nothing to worry about. Every so often in NYC there'll be a horrible story about someone who kept 39 cats in their house or 42 dogs and how they were neglected. Very often, it's after the owner either dies or abandons the poror little pets. I can't imagine the NY Post having a headline "Family caught with 6 dogs!" I kind of envy you guys who live in nice small towns where the number of dogs you have is important. NYC is so hectic and busy. You should try to drive here! But...contrary to our reputation, New Yorkers are very friendly and we wil help you in a heartbeat. Judy |

| I'm in a pretty small town in NY and that's why I really don't get the limit. Just a few weeks ago I believe someone was busted for hoarding cats!! There are no limits on cats or other animals.. but there are on dogs!? I mean these people had over 75 cats in a small two bedroom home. It was crazy!! Another thing is.. I know there are leash laws here and at least 3 of my neigbors that I can count let their dogs roam freely in the streets and it's so annoying!! The people across from me have a huge lab, then there's the chi around the corner. Never leashed, ever. It's scary. |

| Three seems to be the magic number. That is what it is where I live. That is 3 pets total. Not just dogs. |

| I don't know the limit in my county but I'm calling now I registered mine through the city when I first brought them home. I do know that once it starts to get warm over here animal control will be on patrol. Yes..they walk around the neighborhood and knock on every door and if they hear a dog bark or see an animal looking out the window they wright down the address and check to see if your licensed if not you will get a ticket in the mail and asked to licensed your dog. Even if you answer the door the same day they are patroling they will tell you that you need to register your animal plus send you a ticket in the mail regardless. They do not play over here and they do not give you a warning. That happened to my cousin when she was home and she told them she'd get her dogs registered and she did and a few days later she received the ticket in the mail. I think its about $50 for each animal.. Its cheaper to go get a licensed thats why I got mine from day 1 and the fact that I live in center city...city hall is only a block away from me. The police and city inspectors park on the same street I live in so they pass my house all the time. I freakin had the city inspector come to my house the day after closing just making sure my lawn was clean and to get my information. My house was a bank repo and the city fined the bank because the grass was too high before I bought it therefore they wanted to make sure everything was clean. I was like give me a break I haven't been in the house 24 hrs yet. |
