| Separation Anxiety Causing a Real Problem Not theirs...Mine!!!!! Ever since Lucy climbed over the double gate, I've been afraid to leave her. Luckily, I don't work but I've had to leave her twice for Church and left her in her crate where she's not above chewing up the foam in her pad. Next Saturday we have a Billy Joel concert to go to downtown and I'm sure we'll be gone for hours. Hubby wants to put her and Abbie in the bathroom and close the door. I've very hesitant to do that. I've never closed them off like that before. Abbie is afraid of thunder and lightening and our bathroom has a full glass door that goes outside. I have to raise the mini-blinds on the door so they won't decide to play "tangle the cord around your neck" I just don't know what to do. I want to just let them run free even though I KNOW Lucy will potty in the house if we aren't here and Abbie might as well. Plus, we found where Lucy had chewed through a lamp cord. Thank God she wasn't electrocuted! Abbie was so easy. This one is a handful. I hate to leave them though. I want to take them everywhere becuase I'm afraid they'll get hurt. Hubby is starting to lose his patience with me. My life, and consequently his life, revolves around these little girls! HELP!!!!

| I dont have any advice other than a doggie sitter. That can get expensive. I know how you feel though. I havent been doing anything since I got Buddah. I always feel guilty leaving him home because I work so much I spend all my free time with him. |

| Petsmart and places like that have large circular kennels that are 12 feet in diameter. They are also of different heights also. If you have a climber though these may not work, but I'd look for a portable covered one similar that is large enough for two. That way it can be packed away when not in use. Hope this helps.

| Most of the time when we go out, I get a sitter if it's at night. My sister lives less than a mile away & loves doing it. I would look into a sitter. That way their not so lonely either. Although since that can end up costing, I suggest a Xpen.

| Does Anyone Just Close The Door On Them? Thanks for the suggestions. I suggested a sitter to my husband and he looked at me like I was nuts! I don't see how an x-pen or kennel would work any better than the gates. Even my husband worries that she could break a leg climbing the way she does. Even if she didn't hurt hurtself jumping down...the double gate is 5 feet tall, she has to get up there first which means those little legs and feet have to manage that mesh all the way up! Does anyone just put them in a room and close the door?
