Looking into getting a yorkie

Hi all! Just a brief question. My little pup (who was a 'no name' but now is named Daisy Rose - husband and son couldn't make up their mind!) is having problems pooping...well, not really problems doing that...but, today, I noticed she had a lot of b.m. on her hiney and that it looked like she was straining (swollen). I have to clean her up daily and I am going to start clipping around her hind end. I was just wondering if this is normal to this breed...I have never had this problem with any of the large dogs that I breed nor with the poodle pup we have. Do I need to be concerned? She is at the kennel for the weekend (hated to send her there...but we have all our dogs in the 'suites'...yep, I'm guilty...I spoil them all rotten!) Do you think I need to have her see a vet Tuesday? Or am I being over anxious?? Guess this question wasn't as brief as I meant it! Thanks in advance for all the replies!

I'm a little wigged out at seeing a post from me here because I DID NOT SEND THIS POST TO THIS THREAD!!! Strange, but nontheless I will answer. I think that dog carriers and cute outfits are the least of your worries when getting a yorkie for your family. Try this: a dog with a bladder the size of a peanut and having to wake up several times during the course of the night to let him pee. Try a dog that you have to groom every day plus spend $$ on to professionaly groom every 2-3 months. Try a dog that is such a finniky eater that you have to hand feed it every day to make sure it gains enough weight. Sure small dogs are cute and an outfit or two will cause some ooohs and aaaahs around town, but think before you buy. They are living things who need lots of care, not just miniatures to dress up and cart around town.
