FlDebra and MakeMePretty!!! Love your responses. You definitely started my day off with a laugh!!!! Thanks! |
I just told my boyfriend that I wanted another yorkie a year after he bought Max for my birthday. I told him that Max needs a playmate since we work all day. I told him that he didn't have to give another as a birthday gift, though. A few weeks later we jointly purchased Abbie--no sex required :p |
Sissy was a genuine gift from my hubby. He new I wanted a Yorkie puppy and he told me he would pay for one for my Valentine's gift last year. Well, I ended up getting her in November, so a very early Valentine's gift, but he did pay for her. With Angel, I paid for her. I should be putting all my earnings toward my VISA bill, but that obviously isn't going anywhere!! |
Guilty LOL, I had to promise all kind of things lol, was so worth it ;) |

That being said.......**scratching my head**, why did I use my own money to buy Cali??!! I must be slipping. |
I'm old now, I would probably do better promising to polish his golf clubs ...... than something else.....[/QUOTE] lmao that is too funny! I think every one butters up a little to the other when they want something! |

Anyways, Im with you blondiegirl... very independant, bought my own yorkies and never ask for either permission or money! Makes it easier on myself! (maybe not financially but in other ways) :p |
My hubby is the most generous person I know. :hearts33: I don't even have to ask for things ... all I have to do is say I like something and he buys it for me. I didn't have to beg for all 3 of my puppies. I said I wanted them and he said let's go buy them. But sometimes we do play around and he'll say stuff like, "Well if you want to buy Tia that new dress ... it's gonna cost you" or I'll say, "If you vacuum for me, I'll give you a little surprise <wink> <wink>" but it's TOTALLY joking and in good humor. I'm very blessed ... my hubby is so generous and giving. He's a wonderful guy and I just love him to pieces. :iheartu: :luv: We don't look at our money like MY money and HIS money. It's OUR money and we are both equal when it comes it spending/buying. |

I have never understood, nor will I ever understand exactly WHY married couples keep their money separate??? I just think that is so WEIRD! It makes no sense to me. Also - I just have to add in that my hubby sounds alot like yours ;) He is an EXTREMELY caring and giving husband - and is always surprising me with gifts. He will go out and buy me something if he hears me say I like it, or that I would like to have it. He is the best husband in the world! |
awwww you both are soooo lucky......i had that once, oh well |
My husband and I have an account together that is for the household bills only. But I have my own fun money account, and so does he. We did try one account back when we first got together in 1997, but that didn't work. The reason being is that Mister has a terrible habit of using his ATM for EVERY SINGLE THING HE BUYS. You ever try balancing a checkbook when there are charges for $1.89 and $2.25, and there are no receipts in sight, and he can't remember using the card, and he doesn't understand why the money doesn't come out right away, and so on? No fun. So.........in order to stay happily married, this is how it has got to be. And I got that advice from Mom and Dad who were married for 46 years so there's gotta be something alright about it. Good for you folks who can do it the other way, but it was either this way or kill the man. Love him to pieces, but love him with my own account. |
sex for a puppy....i love sex and i love puppies. sounds like fun to me |
