Oh I understand, but since I have a little zoo my last vet (whom it seems I seen on a monthly basis for one of my pets) explained it quite well. There is no reason to spay a perfectly healthy female unless you have a male and don't want puppies. I fixed my male chin. And my vet said that it would be like having all women have their breasts removed and complete hysterectomies thus 1,000's upon 1,000's of women would avoid breast and uterine cancer. While this is true, it just doesn't seem feasible. One of my females is a Peke/Pap. mix. She is now 8 years old. In a sense I rescued her from a farm in Oklahoma 6 years ago. She weighs 12 lbs. Healthy as an ox. Goes through two heat cycles a year and I hardly even notice except that my Chin starts following her around. That's my cue.
