| Gidget was stolen from our yard :( It was yesterday afternoon when she was taken from our yard. We live in Old Town Orange in California and we think it was someone local. Since there was no barking going on (usually she has a fuss unless it is a "local") Anyhow I called the AKC and the company of her microchip, left flyers at all the pet shops and vets. Walked up and down almost every streeet in town rattling her leash to see if I could hear her barking in a house. But I am wondering is there anything else I can do that I'm not thinking of? I feel so helpless, not to mention violated. We just want her home safe you know. In the mean time if you are in Cal here is the flyer. Thanks a bunch... |

| I would be careful posting flyers of Stolen, even if you think she was, People might be afaraid to return her. I would of posted a sign lost and reward. If someone had taken her they may bring her back if they think they may be getting an award. also someone might think if they do find her that you would think that they was the ones who took her there for not pick her up. I would post more flyers saying no questions asked please return reward. I dont know. Im sorry this has happened you must be so heartbroken and scared for your baby. I hope you get her back soon, My prayers are with her and you. |

| Oh that's just awful. I also think offering a reward might help. Everyone will be keeping you in their thoughts. |

| Thanks for all the kind words. I do know that she was infact stolen though since I was home and heard the gate open and then shut again and he collar was found 2-3 doors down in the church bushes taken off (not buckled) I didnt think to go out to see who was at the gate since we live in a duplex and I thought it was the neighbor since there was no barking. (Now I wish i would have looked so that I could have chased them down) She was quick as lightning so I only hope she gets out of wherever she is and comes home or gets found and brought to the shelter. Thanks again Jenn |

I have to agree with this. even if you do know for a fact that she was stolen. I know you are angry that they would do this to you, but the idea is to lure them into bringing her back home to you. offer the reward. It is worth a shot. just lure them in...make them want to bring her home. we will be praying for you. that is so incredibly sad. I can't even imagine!!

| That is just terrible. I am so very sorry. I hope the culprit gets stealer's remorse and returns her to you ASAP. Have you contacted the local television and news radio stations and newspapers? Sometimes they will take on such a story.

| I'm so sorry this happend and I will be praying for a safe return and as the other YTers mention that putting a REWARD would of been a good thing and not putting that your pup was STOLEN even though you know he was. Safe Return No Questions Ask is a good idea! Hope you find your furbaby!!

I Love My Lil' Punkin's Donating Member | Oh goodness, I am so sorry to hear this I just HATE hearing things like this And Gidget was SO cute too! I am hoping and praying that you get her back soon. I will never understand how someone can just up and steal someones beloved pet and best friend - it's so heartless P.S.- There is a board (very similar to this one) where people from all over can post pictures and ads of their missing Yorkies - and now I can't remember the web site for the life of me! If anyone out there knows the web site I am talking about - PLEASE post the link for her! And if I find it, I will do the same. There have been quite a few Yorkies found after being posted on that site
