Well I have both a boy and a girl and they are both VERY different. They are like opposites. Teddy, the boy is very very hyper, and super friendly, while London the girl is more independent and more calm. She keeps to herself sometimes but she can be very affectionate and loves to be picked up and sleep with me. She can get aggresive only with Teddy when he makes her mad. Other than that she's very sweet and playful. Teddy is friendlier though and loves everyone. And he greets me when I get home, London on the other hand is starting to do that but maybe it's because she's only 14 weeks old. It takes time I guess for some. Another thing with Teddy it took more time to potty train and he still has accidents but London paper trained right away, as soon as she saw Teddy do it she would copy him and pee on the paper also. I would say if you want to dress them up pretty with bows then get a girl and if you are more patient and affectionate get a boy.

Well we have 2 girls and they are completely opposite from each other. Reesie is very independant and loving when she chooses to be. Not aggressive at all. She would be outside all the time if I would let her. She has become more affectionate since we got Abbie. Abbie is a total princess and loves, loves, loves to lay in my lap. She on the other hand can get pretty bossy with Reesie if she doesn't get her way. She's a 3 1/2 pound puppy and Reesie is almost 11 pounds, but she can turn the little princess side off and be a little devil if she chooses. Reesie just looks at her like "and you think you can kick my butt?" They are loads of fun to watch. Boy or Girl I don't think it really matters.

I hate to say this but this is crazy!! Boy, girl.. one marks the other doesn't, I have two girls one boy and I use him for breeding and he has never marked anything in my house.. He is sweet and loving, follows me all over the house.. My girls are loving and one gives kisses like they are going out of style.. But only one, All three of mine have different personalities, and I wouldn't change any of them EVER.. Go look with an open mind, If you plan on breeding look for the best quality dog you can afford and find. Look for quality, look at the parents stay with the parents are they the kind of dog you would want. Are the puppies social.. Once you see your pup, nothing will change your mind.

I wanted a girl at first but ended up with a boy...he stole my heart. Im happy with my choice. He does hump on occasion and marks his territory but its not unbearable. Plus, he's still a puppy.

I agree about being a cuddle bug. He loves to cuddle and is a sweetheart. He's not too aggressive, he's actually a cool dog. Really laid back and when I first brought him home at 11 1/2 weeks he sleept through the night...I knew he was a keeper!

Some boys hump earlier than others....I'm still hoping Teddy doesn't yet or even at all. He's almost 7 mos old and he still hasn't humped not once, knock on wood!

My female NEVER humped until I got a male. He started soon after I got him, was just a baby. Once she saw him "play" with the stuffed animals in an "inapropriate"

way, she went hog wild and I cannot get her to stop.
I have had him neutered as I originally wanted to breed, but he ended up not being right for breeding; anyway, he rarely ever humps now, but the marking has yet to stop

The funny thing is he was so perfect and such a listener and would come when you called him, until he saw she never came when called and would basically run the other way, so he thought that seems like great fun, now, nobody listens to me

Why didnt they pick up good habbits from eachother

Anyways, it seems with the responses you have gotten , that maybe its no so much a male/female thing as individual personalitys of the puppies.

Somebody help me, I just realized my puppies are naughty!!!!!!!!!

I have one of each and like others have said they are very different. But I love them both. I think you'll be happy with which ever you wind up with. They'll steal your heart! I didn't think about which gender to get before I bought Dougal and then as I'm a little teensy bit OCD about some things when I decided to get another dog of course it HAD TO BE a girl.

As for messing in the house - Dixie is the one who has trouble holding her bladder - Dougal doesn't mark indoors unless there's the smell of dog wee.

And they're not fully mature (both in body and personality) until they are two years old.
