| ![]() Simon's is about par with everyone else's, that link was a trip! I've never seen a yorkie that wasn't docked. Lol Simon still wags his stub like a happy little thumb... and swifts it sideways the second anyone touches his lower end. Jeni |

| ![]() Esme's tail is about 2" long. With the hair it's about 3" or so. I actually think her is long compared to other yorkies I have seen. I would have taken her with the docked or undocked tail. ![]()

| ![]() My Daisy's docked tail is about an inch long. Choppi (yorkie/maltese) is undocked and his brother Pochi was born without a tail. He has a little bump where the tail should be and when I trim him, I cut his hair to make it look like more of a tail then he has...he looks like he has a little cotton tail. hehe |

| ![]() It seems like the US is always behind Europe in the area of animal cruelty. Europe no longer allows cats to be declawed either. But vets here encourage it! They see dollar signs. It is too bad they doc their tails, as tails of any creature are SO expressive. When my cats walk toward me in anticipation, their tails always curl forward at the top. It's so cute. The first place any changes would have to take place would be with the AKC. |

| ![]() My Ruby is a Shorkie (Shih Tzu/Yorkie) and her tail is long and fluffy and cute! You can see it on her Dogster page, but those pictures do not do it justice...Ill have to get better one! Scrappy's is docked and I love it when he gets it wagging really fast! I like the tails both ways, but don't see why docking became breed standard to begin with? JMO |

| ![]() They are so cute with their tails! Just wondering, do the docked tails still wag though?

| ![]() Honestly, I like my yorkies tail docked and it's my preference. Just as it was my parents preference to ummmm, dock my "tail" so to speak and I'm very happy they did. As have been all my ex girlfriends my ex wife and my current girlfriend. To be honest it really is paramount to circumcision and should be up to the "parents". I don't remember my circumcision and I'm sure my yorkie doesn't remember her docking. BTW, I'm not Jewish, I'm Canadian with Austrailian parents and very Irish in my background. So, it's not a religious thing but a matter of preference. Hey if you want a long tail on your yorkie more power to you and vice-versa. |
