Isnt is also the responsibility to keep your animals(llamas) in a safe and enclosed area as to protect them from animals that have owners or not.

Think about the situation with your llamas. Let's say this pit bull continuously came back to attack your llamas time and time again - each time killing 1 llama. Say you spoke to the owner of the dog and he said "I wasn't there, I can't do anything" and never restrained his dog. After killing off all your llamas the news comes to do a story. Would you want interviews of neighbors saying "oh the pitbull was such a sweet dog - he would never do anything to harm another animal! dobiedude never should have killed him!"?

There is always going to be a satisfied customer - lots of them. But when the point of the story is the breeding practices and multiple sick/dead dogs with no resolution, the happy customers do not come in to play. What would interviewing a happy customer accomplish? Valbholmes could tell her story of how she received two healthy puppies, but what would that do? It's kind of a null point. Interviewing Mr. Moore would accomplish something. It would let him defend himself and his breeding practices and allow him to explain how many satisfied customers he has. See what I mean?

I agree. The other people that had a good experience would show the guy isn't a total monster. Do you know him? I don't. I can only give you an opinion based on what I hear. So someone thinks he's a monster or "the Devil" like someone said. So what put both issues out and let people decide. Its like someone it trying to hold court in the media and not give due process. Woofsheapard said they had an attorney and I asked if they had a lawsuit or if there was some resolution thru legal process. Holding court in the media IMO accomplishes only one thing makes everyone mad regardless of sides because they never really do either side justice. just My opinion

I do they are in a 4.5' game fence and someone came and moved my horse to another pasture and let the dog in with them. Any more questions?

and if you want the whole story I would be glad to share but it is long so be prepared.

Also the chain link gate was locked and the person who committed this act kicked in said chain link fence and opened the second chain link gate to access the inner area of the back yard and then opened the gate to the llama pen (With game fencing) and let the dog go. Just a little FYI

Even if you do have your animals in a safe enclosed area, preditors and other animals/people can still get in. When I lived in Washington we had alpacas in a safe, enclosed area and a mountain lion was still able to attack and kill one of them. I doubt every person with any livestock would build a 20 foot privacy fence - aside from the fact of them being ugly and lowering the value of your house/property, they're just not practical nor economical.

The day has arrived! Our first part (yes, just the first part) of our stories on Brushy Creek Kennel airs tonight on Fox 26 in Houston during our 9pm newscast. This first segment will just focus on one particular case. Still to come: More from the avalanche of complaints directed at this business. Keep watching for updates. These stories will be scheduled at the last minute and I may not be able to give much notice. This is a relatively short story compared to what we have planned later this month. I will keep you updated. For those of you wondering, the attorney for David Moore decided not to comment on the allegations. That shocking news was followed by her claim that Mr. Moore was out of town with a sick relative. Judging from the complaints reviewed from people who tried to reach Mr. Moore over the years regarding purchases, he seems to have extraordinarily bad luck when it comes to ill relatives living in Ireland. Just in case his attorney had received bad information, we plan to station a free-lance photographer near his home just in case he shows up and would like to tell his side of the story. But of course, I am sure he is in Ireland. We offered to record an interview on the phone, meet with his wife, meet with his attorney anywhere in the area at any time during the day or night. They just plain don't want to talk about it and that is certainly their right.

I have not had a chance to catch up on this thread as I actually work on other stories besides Brushy Creek. I'm currently juggling about 14 stories. But I will be sure to post updates on air dates for upcoming Brushy Creek reports.

One more thing: I usually don't report on stories airing on our competition but this one sounds pretty interesting. I understand "Inside Edition," which is shown in just about every city in the country, will air their own Brushy Creek report Tuesday. It sounds like they really poured some major resources into this one and I encourage everyone to be on the look-out tomorrow for this story. I would have preferred that we were the only ones working on this story but I cannot expect a business with so many dissatisfied customers to stay below the radar for long. And like I remarked, this should be a very interesting story on a national platform. Check it out.

I personally can't thank you enough - I've been pretty quiet and watched all the drama here ....it seems Mr. Moore felt ok enough to post here and slam us for caring but I have to wonder why he won't be interviewed. I'm sure Fox tried very hard to get his side because that's what you do.... and I know I'll be watching with great interest.

Thank you again for being a voice for people and having the compassion to take an interest in a huge problem in our country. I think it's just great that Fox took this on and there must be way more going on at this Kennel for a National show to pick it up - but FOX is the hero to me - that's the one I'll be watching.

Thank you David - for the updates and for what you do as a reporter. I'm sure this will be a great investigative report.

So what you are saying is it really wasnt the dogs fault.

If he was lead there and let in it is probalby safe to say he was instigated to do the deed as well.

Sounds to me like you should have shot the owner.

Regardless of fault all I can tell you when a dog is charging me and growling and showing its teeth I don't care who's fault it is I am not going to let it endanger the lives of my animals (after already Killing one) & I will be damed if it will harm my children.
