| ![]() Diego, thank you so much. That site is answered all my ?'s. I called my vet and she said as for as cancer, NO nothing even remotely close has been reported. As for moving, if it is injected properly it will never move. She also told me that if injected properly you will NOT beable to feel it. I told her then if I can feel it then that means she didn't do it right. She said, yes and that if I can feel it 1 week after injection she will refund my money.

![]() Bentley had some bleeding when the microchip was inserted. He also was sore for a couple of days afterward and would cry when we picked him up. After a couple of days he was back to his old self. Griffin, on the other hand, was fine right away.

![]() I am glad to hear what your vet said since my baby has a chip. I was at a dog show when i heard it, not from a vet. She did however work for a holistic vet. With all the talk about injection site cancers I have to say I wasn't surprised to hear this but after looking online couldn't find a single thing about it. I will ask my vet about it as well I might want to go that route with her as well as the tatoo, they can be changed so easily I think. Last edited by diva pup; 05-16-2005 at 01:56 PM. Reason: adding

![]() Tattooing is a form of injections too . What happens if the breeder don't sterilize the needles used for the tattoo ?

![]() I hope you aren't asking me, the original question was had anyone heard anything bad about microchipping. that is the only reason I even answered. That is the first and only thing I have ever heard bad about it. I wasn't aware there were such a thing as injection site cancers either til I started visiting these boards. As far as the needles used for tatooing since I don't breed and I myself do not have any tatoos I have never had a reason to inquire about the risks of that particular practice.
