I paid more for both of mine and have yet to feel giulty!! She is a little sweetheart! Absoultely adorable so don't feel taken at all! |
she is too cute....priceless! My little Romeo was only 500.00, the lady i bought him from had 3 puppies that were ready to go when i went to get him and she had about 15 puppies that were only a few weeks old...she sd that she wasn't trying to get rich off of her puppies. she was originally asking 700.00 but went down to 500.00. Romeo is on the bigger side too...he's 4mo. and weighs about 4lbs....vet sd he will be about 7lbs full grown. |
Amy, I underpaid for my two yorkies and then worried they wouldn't measure up. But they are the most wonderful dogs. So stop worrying about the price you paid and start enjoying your beautiful new baby. |
too much? You're worried you paid too much and maybe you could have gone with a backyard breeder? Let me tell you a story that should make you feel better. I'm in North Dakota so we don't have a lot of breeders in our state. When I wanted a Maltese puppy the only place I'd seen them was in a pet store. The pet store got two females from a breeder in the area. Well, I wanted one badly so I bought the smallest, cutest one. She ended up having three knee surgies for luxating patella (or what ever the slipping knee cap is called), and a hernia surgery. My husband calls her "the girl with the two thousand dollar legs"! She has the best temprement of any dog we've ever had and she is priceless to me, but I couldn't check out the parents so I didn't know if there were bad knees in the bloodline or what. Count yourself lucky to have found her. She is adorable! You only live once. Don't worry about it! ;) |
When trying to train her, just remember she is still WAY young, Its a good idea they stay with their litter and Mom until 12 weeks....so you are starting her training very early, make it fun for her, she will figure out what you want :>) People pay more for the tinies.....I did a for most of mine. When you want to dress one to tote around town its easy to " throw " a tiny in your purse and go....If that is something you like to do, then you would pay for it......like anything if there is a market for it, people will sell it. That's true, although I have never understood how people do that. Places don't allow dogs, so if you are going anywhere where dogs can't go (which is most places), and you won't leave your dog in the car, you can't take your dog. I WILL not leave a small yorkie in a car, even in nice weather. I am guessing that people would be very interested in stealing them either for themselves or to make a quick thousand. What is a good age for yorkies to start obedience training? |
Girl i paid the same thing My baby is beautiful and worth every penny. I look at it this way. My girlfriend wanted to go to cancun for springbreak and on the trip alone i would have spent 1400. For just a week of fun. But looking at pixie she is going to be a big part of my life for 10-15 year. trust me she worth it and there really isnt much you can do now. lol by the way how much does she weigh and how many months is she |

Not to alarm anyone, I meant nice weather for leaving a dog in a car, like 50 degrees. I have waited and turned people in in public for leaving their dog in a car on a 70 degree day. My girl is 1 lb 9 ounces and 11 1/2 weeks old. I have no idea how big she will be as an adult, but we are hoping that she reaches 4 lbs. Doesn\'t seem likely now, does it? You are totally right about the vacation thing, and I never go on vacation, so I am guilt free. Thanks! |
