I caved and she slept with me. I'm no help huh ???? Sorry...there's alot of people that can probably give you ideas but I couldn't take the crying so mine never even used hers. |

| I had a hard time with Daisy the first week putting her in her x-pen, she would whine & throe one heck of a fit! But now she does just fine, when I'm cleaning, vacuuming, etc, I will usualy always put her in her x-pen to avoid accidents when I'm not able to pay close attention to what is going on. My best guess is he knows you're around, and he's trying to get your attention to come get him..lol...give it another week, and be persistant, and I think he'll get the routine. I always put a couple of Daisy's toys in with her, and a blankie & pillow to make her more comfortable. -Tasha

| I've never had a pen or a play pen, but Tink cried when I put her in her crate the first week. I just ignored her completely, and after a week she stopped. But it was tough! My poodle never stopped crying and howling when he was crated and he had a nice big crate to play in. Nothing made him stop, so I finally had to stop crating him after a month - he broke two teeth off trying to get out!! Then he was fine and never messed in the house or hurt anything. Weird. |

| When Lucy was a baby she cried when I put her in her playpen. I finally pulled off a t shirt I was wearing and put it in with her. It worked. She curled up on it and went to sleep. When I got Rebel, I did the same thing. It took him a little longer, but it finally worked with him, too.
