| I think Timmy was about 5 months old when he discovered barking. Now I can't get him to stop. Everytime we go out or when someone is at the door him and Mimi sound like a chorus. I would say just enjoy it now because once it starts it doesn't stop...lol |

Ummm, when do they STOP barking?? Brea is 13 weeks old and barks a lot when she is playing with the other dogs or trying to get them to play with her. Her bark is so tiny and cute. My brother has a beeper thing to put on his key ring so he can find his keys when he misplaces them (lots of times! - it's hereditary, I think) and when Brea barks, it's so high pitched she sounds like a squeaky toy and sets it off. Enjoy the silence for now!!! omega | |

| Mine has been barking since I got him (at 12 weeks). He is NOT a big barker but is super protective of the house...........lol He absolutely HATES the mailman....... Talk about being silly. He'll growl at a stanger and as soon as they say "oh, what a cute little boy", he rolls over and wants to be picked up and petted.........instand friendship! haha!!

| Maybe it's because we have 3 babies....10 weeks old today, but they have been barking and growling for several weeks now! They all seem to get on each other's nerves......we have to actually get on to them sometimes, because they get soooo rough! I wonder if Lily...there mommy, was around, it they would be this rough and aggressive? |

| We just recently got Lola (she's 6 months old) and she was so quiet at first. I didn't hear a sound out of her till last night when she heard my hubby's border collie run up onto the front deck, then she barked up a storm. It's unbelievable how good their hearing is. I was amazed when I got my chihuahua a couple years ago because she could hear every little noise inside and outside. I always attributed it to her big bat ears, but Lola is the same way. They make good little watch dogs. |

| Enjoy while you can , Pepper used to be a barkless dog up to the age of 5 months or so... He'd growl a little at his own toys, we even were able to smuggle him to a no pets hotel room and he stayed silent the whole time. But he did start barking, he's not a yapper thank God... He barks when someone goes through our gate (the clang of metal set him off), doorbell and that's mostly it.

| Tetley is 4 months and mostly silent too. He's really good at whining though but I have to say I prefer some whines to barking. Apparently he was quite the loudmouth when he was at the breeder's but since coming home with us he's been quiet. When he does start mouthing off to get something, we give him a sharp 'no' and turn our backs. I hope he never gets yappy! |
