im sure shes a cutie, im not saying there is anything wrong with the tiny ones, when i picked my scampi and sasha it didnt matter to me what size they were, scampi was big sasha was small, i fell for them and i would of still fallen for them and got them if they were tiny.

I have never found my 2 and 3 pounders any more prone to illness then a bigger 6 or 7 pounder..the difference I do find is a bigger Yorkie can have a bad day or two with a stomach upset and not need the ER...a 2 pound Yorkie can not lose much weight..it has to be nipped pronto...a 7 pounder can lose 1/2 pound and not become gravely ill...2 pounders dehyrate much fast then the bigger ones..
If Kate decides not to eat for the day, I am nto too concerned..she is nearly 5 pounds..but Becca is only 3 1/2 and I will fix her chicken before bedtime and give her Nutra Cal...

I might add..I never place a tiny with anyone who works and is out of the house all day.

Here's my Big Bad Debbie, all three pounds of her. Never had any eating problems and the only time she got sick was from licking the nearly empty tuna bowl that had been made with some tobasco. That was scary as she lost 1/2 pound over the 4th of July weekend. I kept thinking she'd get better but I finally took her to the vet.

When we're out and people remark about wanting a teacup, I do let them know that sometimes they aren't the healthiest. I feel since they are referring to them as teacups they probably don't know too much and maybe it might get them to thinking.

Years ago my family had a 13 pound yorkie. I considered her a small dog but I guess next to Debbie, she would have been a giant yet I don't consider Debbie tiny or fragile. She has always enjoyed walking herself and didn't like being babied. I don't think she required any special care but I am lucky as her breeder did warn me about low blood sugar and my vet pointed out to me that all shots shouldn't be given at once. I never would have thought of that.
