| need help with biting . I have a 11 week old yorkie and she is beautiful and playful, but she wants to bite and chew on everything is the biting normal? any information would be greatly appreciated. I know she is probably teething but she pulls on our pants legs, bed room slippers , i just don't want her to become too aggressive Last edited by asil61999; 01-03-2007 at 05:39 AM. |

| In my experience, my puppies chewed on anything they could find - didn't matter what it was (that's why I have to replace the floor in my kitchen - yep, chewed a nice hole in the middle of my linoleum floor). I think when Gabby did this, she was mad as heck at us for leaving her home while we went to work. We began crating her while we were gone and she either got the message or grew out of the phase. As long as you provide them with their stuff (toys, old socks, chews, etc) to chew on, it should help to stop chewing on things you don't want them chewing on. You might can do a search of other threads on biting for more information and help. Puppies take a lot of patience to work through their stages of growth, just like a baby. They need discipline as well as love and attentione. Good luck to you and welcome to YT

| Sounds like your little one is just a typical yorkie puppy. I love that age -- all too soon they grow up and grow out of the silly puppy antics..... |

| Tootie EATS EVERYTHING! He is over a year old now and still loves to chew! I have been lucky with Hope, she just doesnt do that... I always keep more chewie sticks than he can possibly chew, EVERYWHERE, and it helps but I truly think some of them eat things, some of them dont, I always have to keep an eye on him! Good Luck with your baby - just give plenty of safe things to chew...
