| I had my yorkies face shaved, not on purpose though. unfortunatly i have no pictures of her, but it was a complete disaster. i lovee my babies hair and she looked so rat like without it. (of course i always think she is cute..hehe) i would not suggest it, but maybe it will work out better for you than it did for me.

| i thought maybe it was more confortable for her, but i swear i think she new she wasnt as pretty as usual...she seemed so depressed for a while after her horrible hair cut. but i do keep her hair very short compared to most yorkies. i like the puppy cut look. never the groomers again though. when her hair grows out i just trim it around her face a little. hehe.....

| here is a pic of maggie at 11 weeks old before having her face hair trimmed and one after. they shaved the top of her nose so that the hair was not in her face covering her eyes. She likes it much better this way

| Here is a picture of Cooper's first haircut. I considered him "shaved" from what he was and was devastated at the time. Looking back now, I still think he is cute, but doesn't look like Cooper. I wouldn't do it again, and I seriously cried when I picked him up from the groomers on the day this was taken.

| Thanks. Looking back he does look cute, but he looks nothing like he did or like a yorkie there. She also quicked almost everyone of his nails. That really made me mad!! I tried one more different groomer...who just waved the scissors over him, I think. Since then, Cooper has not been back to a groomer, I just cut him myself and am much much happier.

| Yep, I took my first Yorkie, Roxie to get groomed and when I took her she was black and tan and when I picked her up they had shaved her soooooo short that I swore she wasnt mine.SERIOUSLY, I DIDNT THINK SHE WAS MINE. I had to make her do her tricks right there before I left with her. She was WHITE and shaved all over and looked like a schnauzer. Of course, I never went back to that groomer. When I brought her home, my whole family wouldnt believe me that this was Roxie until I had her do her tricks. My suggestion is not to shave their face. Their bodies, yes, they need a break, especially in the summer, but not thier faces. Get them the puppy cut face maybe but dont shave all the way. Thats just my opinion from past experience.
