Yep, I took my first Yorkie, Roxie to get groomed and when I took her she was black and tan and when I picked her up they had shaved her soooooo short that I swore she wasnt mine.SERIOUSLY, I DIDNT THINK SHE WAS MINE. I had to make her do her tricks right there before I left with her. She was WHITE and shaved all over and looked like a schnauzer. Of course, I never went back to that groomer. When I brought her home, my whole family wouldnt believe me that this was Roxie until I had her do her tricks.
My suggestion is not to shave their face. Their bodies, yes, they need a break, especially in the summer, but not thier faces. Get them the puppy cut face maybe but dont shave all the way. Thats just my opinion from past experience.
