| I notice you live in NE TX....my main advice (besides avoiding the "teacup" term! ): DO NOT buy from Jeff Dane or his brother. I believe that "yorkiepup.com" is their website, and they are out of the Bonham area. They are notoooooorious for selling over-priced, badly bred, and SICK dogs that they don't care about once they have your money. Do your research, and find a good breeder who will let you visit in her home and see how she raises her dogs! Good luck!

I still dont see what the big deal is over the word teacup. its just a word. And i must say all breeders that use the word teacup arent bad ones. When I was searching for Albert i made it clear that i wanted a yorkie on the smaller side not one that was 16 lbs. the breeder herself refered to him as a teacup. She also doesnt rack up the price because she has some on the very small side she charges the same price for males and females. Albert is tiny and I have never had any serious health problems with him. The word teacup is just used to describe a very small yorkie IMO.

Littlebit... Good luck with your search.....there are breeders that by chance have a smaller Yorkie......that do not do it intentionally.........they may be better options for you....... Just be very careful.......and they will be spayed or neutered right????

not sure haven't decided if i wanna spayed or neuter yet. I am still thinking about breeding adventually. Still reading up on breeding. He or she wont have the opportunity to get pregnant or make one pregnant at this time. I only have one other dog and he in neutered and dosen't persue other animals. My other dog also is really old and dosen't get around much

littlebit, I am not exactly sure where White Settlement is or how close it may be to Houston but I have bought two Yorkies from a breeder in Houston and each dog has been a total dream. I have not had any heatlh problems from either - one is 15 lbs and the other 7lbs! If you are intrested, please let me know and I will give you a phone number.

My question would be: Should I have not gotten him because she shouldn't sell tiny dogs as teacups? I guess I take it wrong when people say steer clear of breeders who advertise teacups. In an advertising sense, the term teacup sells, so Is it not ok to want one? It's scary, because I've been searching for a female and I don't want her to be bigger than Kodak. Most sellers I contacted had puppies that will be standard size, but mentioned there may be a tiny one in the litter. A lot of people on here have tiny ones to.

I know what you mean I have called several breeders here in texas and when i said a small dog they asked me wether i wanted a teacup or a tiny and that question has been asked to me over and over again. I just assumed that the one i wanted to get would be called a teacup. Boy o Boy lol I found out I was wrong. But anyways I prefer one smaller then 5lbs. but would enjoy any size.

If you want a yorkie smaller than your 3lb "Kodak"-that would be WAY TO SMALL to breed.
