Im shocked on how some people here think that i have been here before. I have never asked this question before, i did post it 2x today but if you read all of my comments i didn't mean to, but never have i been on this site tell this week... i guess this is how some of you get the new ones to leave.. all i did was ask a question i am not going to let them breed so the ones that are good at given advice i thank you for the help but some people here are flat rude.

I don't think anyone is trying to get you to leave. It's just not the 1st time someone has come on here and posted the same kind of question you did. And it get's a little frustrating to those that truely love this breed.....

Just a bit passionate about breeding correctly......If you plan to do this, please study the breed carefully. Get books on breeding to better the breed. Learn everything you can before you go near a whelping box. When you do breed make sure both your male and female are free of genetic and congenital defects and you have wonderful specimans of the breed.

Hey! The breeding stuff ain't easy.....it's hard work and dedication....I wonder sometimes if those of us that do it are out of our minds.

This thread is a perfect example of why many good breeders insist on a puppy spay contract. Would you want your puppy to go to a home that sees her as a moneymaking opportunity?

Ayorkielover, some people do come on message boards and try to get everyone riled up. Please don't be offended by anyone's rudeness. People get very passionate about breeding dogs. You need to look at more websites about puppy mills, kill shelters, and horror stories about breeding. More importantly your husband needs to do this. People who love their dogs do not look at them as money making opportunities any more than we look at our children that way.

Did your husband have five children with you to expect them to support him or make him money? I hope you stand up to him and get both dogs fixed. Your dogs obviously bring you happiness and I think your husband is very cruel to expect you to sell them if they aren't going to turn a profit for him.

As far as repitition in postings, anyone can make a mistake, especially someone who might be new. We never know who is reading our posts and they might be very beneficial to those who might learn something valuable that they didn't know.

Let me ask you, did you know these were his plans before he purchased this "gift's" for "you"?....... These are gift's these were a money investment.

OK, lets say this was the plan....wouldn't you do research first before investing. Most likely if you don't you loose....he lost for not doing any research and you for agreeing to it without doing your homework.

Take the advice given here and translate it in his $$$$ language, write down how much more $$$$ you need to invest.

Jill and Mardelin can you ladies help and give her a $$$$$ brake down from book, vet, testing, material needed, pups cost with and without complications .... oh, and being the first time the possibility of only One pup and the profit they will make on that one or two.

Hopefully that will register.

Good Luck to you... but I would approach him sensibly and not challenge his authority but play up to him.

How old is this puppy? A 4 lb female should never be breed to a larger dog and when and if you do decide to breed it should only be to a 2 1/2 or 3lb male, knowing the background of the male. He has to come from small stock or you are going to create yourself a nightmare. I am a breeder and would never consider breeding like this.

If he needs to get paid back, add up all of the chores, housecleaning, cooking, washing his clothes, ironing (if you do that), putting up with him, and least but not last sleeping with him. Tell him he has been paid in full ten folds over! I hope I haven't offended you, but don't let him bully you into doing an irresponsible thing breeding this baby!

When I bought my first Yorkie, 3 yrs ago it was with the intentions of breeding her...Not to make money...more for wanting another puppy and not wanting to spend over another 1000.00...I have, in the past, bred Golden Retrievers...After doing much research I decided this wouldn't be in the best interest in my Sadie...I would never want to do anything that would jepordize her life and....the cost of raising puppies isn't cheap or if she needed a C-section...in the end it would have ended up costing me more than if I had just bought another Yorkie...Hubby new I wanted to breed..(he loves the girls but, not into them like I am) he too wasn't happy when I told him I wasn't going to breed...He thought I just told him that so I could get a dog...He doesn't really understand the breed and feels because they are "animals" that nature would just take it's course....As I said, I have been a Yorkie owner for 3 yrs now and just bought another yorkie girl back in August... I did alot of research and read all the books I could find before buying one. That being said.....I WILL NOT BREED! I am leaving that to the professionals. And as for hubby....he still can't understand why I won't breed and I really don't care....these are MY furbabies and I WILL NOT do anything that could cause me to lose them...

I can't believe that a husband would either let you buy or buy you a dog and then EXPECT YOU to pay HIM back! I would just take your little girl to the vet and have her spayed without him even knowing...
