| Ok ,Perhaps I don't know nothing about breeding , it is the reason why I have these : I know in the wild . Supposed what might happens if a person place a 3 pound male with a 8 pounds with out supervision . Maybe , I don't know what I am saying . A tie can go up to 30 minutes , if I am not mistaken .Sorry , If I sounded rude . This breed is so marvellous , that sometimes I worried maybe too much . | I am not wanting to be rude, but your post comes off as someone who is not ready to breed. If the female's owner is away, it may be better to wait and let the owner breed her, anything can happened to the male or female..... As far as dogs in the wild......dogs die everyday in the wild, the reason we don't have our babies out in the wild fending for themselves. Angie |

| I have also heard that the female can bite at the male because it can be painful. And you wouldn't want her to snap at his "tool". |

| Pat, here is a picture of the book, I guess you would call it a brown cover, but I don't think it is really small. Last edited by admin; 05-22-2005 at 01:23 PM. |

| Donating YT 14K Club Member | The frustration with breeding! I was there just a couple of months ago. I helped my two with their breeding. He had bred before but she had not. I actually put my hand underneath her and pushed her vagina back. He eventually was able to penetrate her and the tie was on! Our tie lasted about 20 minutes. I held them close together because I didn't want her to pull away from him and hurt his penis. We had 4 female pups born April 29th. Good luck! |

| when breeding my female to a smaller male I did a lap breed "so to speak" once they tied I kept her on my lap and pet her while he was doing his business, it kept her calm and happy which made it easy for both, although he wanted a cigarette after he was done
