Ace is gone.... Somehow Ace turned up missing yesterday. I put him out in the back yard to potty and I heard the phone ringing so I went to answer it and when I returned he was gone. I have a six foot privacy fence around my back yard. I don't know what happened. The gates were closed and there wasn't any places he could've gotten out of. He was on the covered patio on top of it all.:( I looked everywhere for him and even called the local dog catcher to notifiy him my dog was missing. I am concerned because we've been getting some really cold rain since last night and Ace was never located. The kids got home from school and set out on foot calling and searching for him until it got dark and the rain started falling. :( I hope Ace is found soon. |
I am so sorry Ace is missing. I will be praying for his quick return. Please, God, keep this little one safe from harm and help him find his way back home. |

3 Attachment(s) The kids and I have been to every house in a three block radius. We have only had Ace going on a month. I personally think someone took him. I had that happen once with Kitty but I found her since she is microchipped. Ace hasn't been microchipped yet. I am just beside myself. I shouldn't have gone back in to answer the phone. It was just for a moment and he was gone.:( I will never ever do that again!!!! Ace is a yorkie. Here are some pictures of him. I had to shave him because he was so matted when I got him from the breeder. |

No updates on Ace. No one in the neighborhood has seen him. I was out looking for him again today. I did have a discovery of sorts though. While I was out I found a tiny cold puppy taped up in a box. She had been tossed out of a car and left to die. I took her to the vet and she will be fine. I took her home with me. She has a couple of places of missing hair (not ringworm or mange, vet checked). My vet thinks she's 2-3 mos. old and a chiwawa mix or min pin mix or even a daushound mix. She weighs less than 2lbs. I hope to find Ace soon. The police told me that several dogs have come up missing in the last 3wks. :( That didn't give me much hope of finding Ace. At this point I think he was taken. Edited to say that all the dogs that were reported missing the last 3 wks are small breed and even small mix breed dogs. |

Oh my god, I'm so sorry to hear about Ace. I lost my collie about 2 years ago for about 2 weeks, and I thought I would have never seen him again. But I did end up finding him,he was wandering around one of the last places I went with him in the car. I know when I let my Teddy run around with me he goes to the last place I was at.. have you taken your puppy other places in the backyard or at a neighbors house? He might be hiding there waiting for you to find him. I do hope you find your dog. I know what's like. I will keep you in my prayers. |

God bless poor little Ace. I pray for his safe return. Kitty, I think he got snatched too, but do you live in a rural area where there might be hawks and owls lurking about? Thank you for rescuing the puppy. Are you going to keep it? |

Also check bushes in your neighbors yard and all around the neighborhood. Poor ace could be hurt and hiding in them. |
