| I am so angry I found this woman who says she use to prepare Yorkies for shows. Yeah, so I took Lexi to her and had her trim her nails, her rear, paw pads, lower belly, and the tips of her ears. NO cutting on ANY of her hair. I wait and when she is done she brings her out to me. This woman trimmed the hair around the tops of her ears. It doesn't look bad but come on what part of DO NOT cut her hair don't you get. It was finally starting to lay good and now it is sticking up. You should see what she shaved, you have to accually look for it, but that I'm not complaining about better not enough than to much. So, now I'm looking for video's and books. I'm going this weekend to get some really good clippers, and I already bought somegood nail clippers. What else do I need to start grooming her myself?

| You should trim the hair off the ears to prevent drooping. The Show cut is hair trimmed off the ears half way down so the ear will remain perky. |

| Oh, I'm so sorry your upset. It really makes me mad when I'm the paying customer and I ask for a certain thing and something else get's done. When I first got Josie I have to admitt I wasn't the best on brushing her daily. She got some knots on her tummy and beard. I took her in to get the knots trimmed / cut off. I knew she would look weird but, I figured it would eventually grow back...well when I went back to pick her up she was completed shaved . She looked so scared and she was shivering. When I dropped her off she was black & tan and when I picked her up she was just silver. I was really upset! (I still get sad thinking back) |

Show cut is 1/3 of the way down, and that is what I asked for. She just cut it short over half way down and did hardly any shaving. I don't know how to explain it but I wanted the bottom half to grow out and now I have to start over.

| The first time I went to a groomer with Sandrine , It was horrible . I came in with a Yorkie , I went out with a Chihuahua . The groomer shaved her completely , I was really mad and never go to this place . |

YT Addict | For grooming I would recommend a couple of pairs of scissors. Since she is probably small...the scissors should be too. A striaght edge wtith a point, one with a rounded point and the scissors that have the jagged edges. Those you would use to feather or make it look like the hair was actually cut. Some areas have pet stores that specialize more for the show circuit's. Maybe see if you can find one of those because they would really be able to help you out on what you are needing. Good luck!!!
