| Neutering Benefit? I have a 5 months yorkie boy. He always bark when i am away. Last month he was good in potty on the wee wee pad and i started to let him out of the playpen and out to the living room then all of the sudden starting last week he is starting to pee anywhere. i tried getting rid of the scent with Nature's Miracle, but that made it worse. THen i started to keep him in the play pen and not allowing him to come out to the living room running around. What am i doing wrong. He has not yet neuter yet. Can someone tell me when can i have him neutered and what is the benefit for the neutering? Would it lower the barking and the peeing everywhere? THanks

| Just done it I just had LiL Moe neutered last friday, as he began marking every place in the house. I had to throw 2 double beds away already due to the extreme extent of marking. I must make it clear that he goes potty outside, and that he is deffinately doing territorial marking , no weeing in the house.I have had to keep him in his diaper now due to this. The vet tells me the operation will cut down on his marking, but since he was so big in this dirty habit that the surgery may not alltogether break him of it.There is a benifit that your male dog wont have the worry of future cancer in those regions. It will cut down on his urge to stray when he reaches sexual maturity, and it will also prevent unwanted litters. We knew with all the genetic problems our baby has it is best to have him fixed, as we would never want to pass his DNA to anyone.I waited for him to be a year old, as the vet said it would ensure he was strong enough to with stand the surgery.Good Luck in your choice.

| I understand ! I have 2 male yorkies. They mark everywhere! They were 5 months old when they were fixed. The Neutering will help the marking but wont stop it.Try taking him out more so he can mark. Has for carpet I have tried everything. My next step is replacing the carpet. Belly Bands do help.
