I say GO FOR IT.... Treat yourself and surprise your husband. If you already have SIX, then he probably won't notice for a day or so anyway, and by then he will in love with the new additions. | |

| I'm sorry - but I'll take your husband's side on this... Six Yorkies are enough. I know that when I had two dogs and two cats --- I loved them all - but to be honest, I really did find it hard to spend as much individual time with each one of them as I wanted to. They were all affectionate and wanted to cuddle and snuggle and be loved a lot - and with only four - I didn't think it wouldn't be fair to them to have more pets. You have a lot of Yorkies to love - enjoy them! Carol Jean |

| I can side with you, I have 7 dogs, not all yorkies though. If you have the time, the money and room for them why not add one more. My babies are all spoiled rotten, get excellent care and they all spend equal time with me. Each person has a limit and not everyone's limit is the same. I plan on getting more dogs but that is because animals are my life, I was always a strong animal lover and I am currently studying to be a vet tech. If I coulden't handle it, I wouldn't have this many, but it is not a problem for me. Only you know what your limit is so I would sit down and think real hard about how much time, money, space, and care that you have now for your 6 that you have and whether you can handle adding another one or two.

| As far as the number of pets you have - and as far as setting a limit - there are a lot of factors involved. I am a single person - so - there's only me - I would think that a larger family would have more time (and more hands and arms) to give to more pets. And - the environment you live in and the temperments of all the pets you have are other factors too. I know a lot of people would have an unlimited number - just like children - I still think six is a handful - I know my pets all want to sit on my lap all evening and, of course, they all want to sleep with me. And - when I get home from work - they all want to be petted first and hugged and kissed, etc. So - with me alone - I always have one, two, three, or four wanting to be held and play with me and sleep with me all the time. And - I do enjoy it. Again - good luck! Carol Jean |
