Should I be concerned Today was a miserable day lots of rain. Gucci normally goes out to do her business in morning and also uses the wee wee pads when I am not home. Well this morning with the rain I took her out and she was cold and didn't want to walk on the wet grass < fussy little girl> lol so I took her inside and left for work. When I got back in at 3:30 I noticed she still didnt urinate the pad was dried. So it stopped raining and I took her out and she urinated. Gucci does have a good bladder it seems but isn't that a long time to hold it from last night to 3:30 this afternoon? She is acting normal and eating, she hasn't relieved herself since this afternoon and has not had a bowel movement all day... Am I just over reacting? What do you think? Do any of your yorkies do this?? Gina

If she is eating and drinking I wouldn't worry, but i would keep an eye on her. If it was raining, are you sure she didn't pee on the sidewalk?

| I wouldn't worry, if she had to go she would have. Our little one can go many hours without going potty, and she's fine. I would agree with JeanieK, as long as she eating/drinking fine...then no worries!

These little guys (and other dogs as well) can surprise us. Sometimes I'm amazed at how long they can go without going to the bathroom - and at other times - I'm surprised at how often they can go. I suppose, like people, when they need to go to the bathroom really isn't written in cement. And like us, if the occasion calls for it - they can often hold it longer than usual. I wouldn't consider it a problem. Carol Jean

potty My dog is 4 1/2 months old, her name is Wrigley. She goes to bed at 8:00 and sleeps until 5:00. I get her up she does both and she will then sleep another 1/2 hr and she is up. I am an early riser so it doesn't bother me. I was wondering how many of you train on the pads. She loves them. Cold weather and snow will be on the way soon. I don't or having taken her out when it is cold. I just let her go on the pad. How hard do you think it will be when the weather is nice to get her to go outside.
