Donating YT 11K Club Member | Loud barking? Do any of your yorkies bark at the sound of anything in the middle of the night? Teddy did this last night, realllly loudly, is it because he is trying to protect the house, because he thinks he is big or why??? Why do they do this? He doesn't bark normally |

| Logan will sometimes bark really loud if he's asleep & something startles him. Just like a person. We spend last weekend in a hotel & about 1:30 he just started going off & he was panicked. I don't know if he heard something or had a bad dream, but it took us a little bit to finally get him calmed down. I have found that the older they get the more they want to protect you.

| Coco doesn't bark in the middle of the night but while she's playing with her toys she barks really loud and it's a really high pitched bark. |

| Ferdinand doesn't do it in the middle of the night. But if we're not paying attention (like if we're in the middle of a serious conversation) he'll bark with everything he's got... it's like he's using all his force to get that bark out. It's kind of funny to watch. It's a really loud bark though.

| Both my dogs bark . . . Tiger barks ONLY at: me sometimes when he is hungry when he wants to say something Annika barks more than Tiger. She does ONLY when: I pick up Tiger and walk away leaving her behind when she is in bed with me and someone is about to come through the door (whomever it is) When she is in the sewing room with me and Tiger and someone comes down the stairs (whomever it is) When I take Tiger back to the Laundry room to put him to bed and I leave her behind When we walk and there are strangers When I am fixing their meals as she somehow knows it and gets anxious |

Donating YT 11K Club Member | Well Teddy started to bark really loudly last night when he was in bed with me and he was sound asleep, he heard the door open in another bedroom cause someone went to the bathroom and he went crazy. Now he is starting to bark also when people ring the doorbell. When I first got him he didn't bark at all and I was like thank god I have a dog that doesn't bark lol cause it can get annoying but now he is starting to and I'm like nooooooo lol |

| Oh gosh my dogs sit on the back of the couch and stand watch looking out the window and if they see someone outside they bark- if they hear a noise at night they bark - if someone comes to the door they bark. I dont' know why but it only gets on my last nerve every once in a great while. They are territorial and I think they also want to protect their family. Bark bark bark- they do it alot! |

| Oscar ONLY barks when he hears things - he's been doing it more often at night when he hears a noise - just lets out one loud bark - enough to scare the crap out of me - then sits and listens. I'm lucky I guess because he doesn't continuously bark and yap at anything - just one bark, that's it. I'm a little surprised actually - I thought Ruthie was going to be the barker but she's super quiet - since I brought her home, Oscar has started doing this barking (never used to at ALL). Maybe he's trying to protect his girls...
